+1 I've been liking certain imports a lot recently. Id love to have an RX7 or MKIV Supra. Or better yet, combine them both, RX7 with a 2JZ

If mustangs weren't around? I would build a rear drive coupe with a live axle powered by a V8 and drive that.

The closest FR with the next best power to weight ratio in a reasonable price range is the Camaro.

If no Camaro, and the 86GT was out, then that. Otherwise, no clue. The genesis and challenger are too slow, unreliable, and expensive- I'd probably end up getting a Fusion Sport in standard. Would rather have a six, but I'd rather have a four cylinder with a standard than a six with an auto.

Easiest decision I'd ever make. I'd go back to my first gen MR2 and throw all of my money at it. Put the second gen turbo motor in it, 350hp and 2200lbs, mid-engine, rear wheel drive, 5 speed. I regret getting rid of that car. That was back when Toyota knew how to have fun.

I would have started with a '63 Falcon Futura and built from there. Bottom line... I only buy Fords.

'14 Charger or '14 Focus ST, if insurance wasn't too high, possibly a Challenger.

E90 BMW 328i with a manual transmission, like my parents daily. The transmission is so silky smooth.

Camaro all the way. I have a pedal foot and have considered buying a ZL1 if I could find a used one for the right price. I went home on vacation about a year and a half ago, and rented a Camaro. I got two speeding tickets (105/55 and 73/55) in three days and decided that I wanted something similar to that. The 105/55, I got on an empty interstate, was clocked by a motorcycle CHP who was hiding behind a sign at a train station. Needless to say, I fell in love with the performance of the car. The Mustang was still the best bang for my buck at the time of purchase and I've come to respect what these cars are capable of doing. 50 years of production speaks for itself.
