Accounting help

I need help guys,

When I started working at this new job this past January 6 I was going to get pay 40K a year but for some reason I am believing that I am getting paid less than that :bang head:

Is anyone here good with numbers and able to help me out with some math?

Thank you so much in advanced

Look at your pay check and there should be the gross amount on your pay for the period. Your take home amount will be less any taxes or benefit deductions (401k, insurance, dental, etc). To figure our your annual salary take the gross amount of your check times how many times you get paid a year. Based on a salary of 40,000 your checks should be the below amount depending on the frequency.

Paid weekly (52 checks a year) - 769.23
Paid bi weekly (26 checks a year) - 1538.46
Paid Bi monthly (24 checks a year) - 1666.67
Paid monthly (12 checks a year) - 3333.33

Your employer should have a payroll department or someone who performs this service if you work for a smaller company. Ask your manager to speak with them to help explain this.

Are you not issued some type of pay stub or record?

I would ask for one if you can, and make time to review it..there's always a chance payroll or the accounting firm managing payroll can make a mistake, whether it be a simple clerical error or a new employee at the firm forgot to process your over time hours for that week.

There's always a chance money you rightfully earned could be forgotten = less spending cash to buy more mustang parts!
