Well here on the SC coast the hot and humid weather was kicking butt.

2011 Convertible stayed in the garage and was not even started.

Cooler weather arrived today this week is looking up.

Picked up a full 3.55 axle out of a GT500 and an OEM gt500 hood for the GFs V6, as well as a set of NT01s. Looking to have her prepped for our next track weekend at MSR Houston in October.

On a side note, changed some parts on my car which required a retune, swapped all the parts on the 5.0 and went to get my computer only to realize it somehow got some water spilled on it. Now my car and my computer are out of comission lol... hopefully i can just get my tune re sent to my GFs computer.

I had a productive weekend. I got my Roush side and rear splitters put on. I also did the MMD deck lid. For those that have the shiny black on their trunk lid, this is the way to go.

Hey Alex, can you do me a solid and check something for me? Your website says the Cobra Pinion flange (Ford Racing Mustang Pinion Flange M-4851-B (03-04 Cobra) - Free Shipping) is needed when attaching an 8.8 rear end to a V6. The 2011+ V6s already have an 8.8 though correct? I should not need that Cobra Pinion flange to put a 2011 GT500 rear end on a 2014 V6? Thanks.

Hey,

Great question-Despite an 8.8" being an 8.8" it's essentially to get your V6 driveshaft to connect! Let me know if you have any other questions about that it's sort of convoluted but it's a necessity. I'll work with our content team to get a little more of a descriptive explanation on that posted!

You're paying to have those installed?
I'm sorry, but you're PAYING someone to install WINDOW LOUVERS!?!?!?
And emblems and tail light tint? Even the rocker stripes.... come on.

These things can be tricky! I've installed the quarters a few dozen times (Even on Project Coyote, check me out!) but tint, emblems, taillight tint and the vinyl can be really challenging. One of the many jobs I've had when I was younger was doing recon work (reconditioning) at an auto auction and from time to time we'd have to install vinyl or tint. It can difficult if you're not careful or impatient. I always recommend professional installs on most if not all parts to be on the safe side! I've seen people try to remove their factory spoilers with a crowbar, trust me, sometimes it's a good idea to get mods installed!

I can understand the hood scoop as you have to drill into your hood, but the emblems and window louvers I just couldn't pay someone to do.
I feel like if you're modding your car, you should at least try and do things yourself.
I've worked with vinyl for years, but the rocker stripes should be easy enough, just measure a bunch of times and lay it down on some soapy water to make sure it's right. Same with emblems, just measure a bunch and stick.
I can see where you are coming from with the tint....
But whoever is installing them is just robbing you. I shudder to think of what the person is charging to install all of that. All of those things is 2 hours of work at the most, with most of that time being spent measuring and prepping.
If you get charged more than $150 for that you're being ripped off hard.
I guess I'm just a very DIY person, but still.
I just can't get over the window louvers. lol. I guess that's my main source of amazement. I would literally trust my 6 year old cousin to do those. God forbid you somehow mess that up just re-3M it and stick. Window louvers. Oh well. Not my car, not my money. Money saved on installs = more money to spend on mods. Really hope you're not paying more than $150 for the installs.

Hey

I don't mow my lawn. Why because I don't want to mow, weed eat or sweep again. I pay someone else to do it so when I get home I just go for a ride.

Lighten up

I guess so. Sorry, was just surprised.
To each his own. I hope one day I can pay people to do all that stuff lol.
Are you having your tuner/tune installed? I would suggest doing that yourself. That way if anything goes wrong or the software won't update or tune won't load or just anything happens you know exactly what happened so it can be fixed.

I was quite impressed with it ! It would pull on me in first gear by half a car and then i would reel him in 2nd gear and win by almost a car length by 3rd gear. In a track of course 😎
But i liked it i drove it around did some hard pulls and its quick if my car was stock it would take me no problem. That AWD definitely keeps you with your head all the way back and the breaks are awesome too sadly to say better than my stang 😕

They are some pretty nice cars I have to admit, especially modded up. I would love one.
People just give them a bad name when they rice them up and make them look and sound like crap. Deff a fast family car! May be what I go with when the GF makes me get another car. Can't have a baby in a 'stang... I've tried it doesn't work lol.
The WRX or a F150

I nearly got the raptor, but the gas is part of why I didn't. It's awful. Great truck though. 1 or 2 other reasons I didn't.

My friend who has built several engines for his 69 firebird is checking it out tonight. He also knows the smog referee of the area so we have an appointment there. I know it'll get fixed, just ****ty timing with reg being due and school coming up.

Lol f a family car. I tested a '14 wrx before i tested a stang. Needless to say, i got a baby and still ended up buyin the stang.

My exhaust puts her to sleep in minutes so stangs and babies do mix

They do put them to sleep lol
But for safely of my precious baby when i do have one i would prefer a bigger car just for more safety and what better than a fast car
