whats your favorite mustang body style of all time?

I used to be a die hard fan of the sn95, but when I got my s197 in 2006 and set it up how I dreamed it to be, it's my favorite look of all time, and my old sn95 which actually won in a car show once, looks like complete **** to me now - especially the stock sn95s it makes me think WTH!!

I do like the s550 and maybe if I get one I will like it more than my s197 someday, I doubt it but I guess things change.

In the trash, right where they belong.

Sorry, I had to. I really like the late 60's stang, before they got fat in the early 70's. I really dig the '67 Shelby Eleanor, but I hate Nic Cage so much, that it actually makes me dislike the car a little bit.

I also really like the SN95, for some reason. Tyler has one, and I hate myself for admitting this, but I have grown to like it... so much so, that I kind of want one.

Probably the '67-'68 fastback would be my favorite, with the '69 fastback right in there too. I think the S197 pays the best homage to those designs among more modern mustangs. The Mustang II was a travesty in my mind. The fox and new edge designs didn't do anything for me. My mustang flame was reignited when the S197 was introduced.

'69 Mach 1 with Cleveland 351. I also have a particulate sweet spot for the '71-'73 for some reason. Saw one at a car show in black and gold and just really liked it.

I feel like the s197 is the biggest step up from the 66 stangs, like i said before i used to love the sn95 but they failed the test of time - whenever most people see a sn95 or a new edge all that goes through their mind is "probably got it with 150k miles for cheap cus that's all they can afford" - and notice all the retired old people who want to look cool on a budget get the early sn95 v6 verts and drive around and think they are hot **** because its a "mustang".

also most new edgers seem pretty ******y like I went to subway today and see a new edge (v6 ) in the lot as I pull into the parking lot and I see this ******y guy with his dumb blonde girlfriend through the window laughing then he sees my car and his face immediately looks like he wants to murder me, so I just gave him a nice rev as I park and go inside to order my sandwich. sometimes i just wish this entire planet was destroyed.

I test drove an 03 vert and really liked it except for the heavy clutch. My wife says that the SN95 reminds her of the guidos from HS.

Every time I see a new edge, I give telekinesis a legitimate try. I focus all my loathing and hatred into a single mental image of the aforementioned new edge exploding. Each body panel pulling away from the next, with a geyser of flame shooting forth from the gap. Each window shattering and pushing outwards in a million little glass cubes. I imagine the car leaving the ground vertically, while its deflated, burning tires fall over sideways. The whole beautiful picture in my head looks like an assembly view from a Chilton manual... just with a lot more fire.

On a more serious note, the RTR-X Mustang is probably my favorite Mustang ever. 1969 Mustang with the mean angled chin splitter/front air dam, individual throttle bodies, in-your-face green on black... the thing is just aggressive and savage, yet has that old school class. I love it.
