To all those complaining about not having a good set of tools to DIY...

Professional Mechanic's Tool Set - 301 Piece

There are only a few things I have found I've needed that this kit does not come with and they are all cheap at HF. A better selection of box wrenches is one and a 18" 1/2 drive breaker bar is the other, both added $20 in total cost. Yes this is a chinese tool set, yes it is not nearly as good as Snap On or even Craftsman. I have done 3 transmission removal/installs, brakes, motor mounts, exhaust, wheels etc... with this set and the only thing I've broke is the 3/8" universal. These tools are lifetime warranty so I just took the pieces of said universal to HF and they replaced it no questions asked.

The beauty of this kit is if you don't have a garage or live in an apartment or whatever you can keep it in your closet when not in use and then when you need it, pick it up by the handle and throw it in your trunk and go. Fits just fine in a SN95 trunk so it'll fit in pretty much any trunk.

Or, if you have a legit toolbox like I am doing you can remove the trays and they fit in most drawers for good organization. Yes I know there are a lot of other things one needs for a "complete" toolset but you can do pretty much anything you need to with this kit.

edit: This set is very often on sale for $159 and that's what I paid for it.
2000 Mustang GT Steeda build #48. Bolt ons, suspension, Novi 2000.

Just because I give you advice, doesn't mean I know more than you. Its just means I've done more stupid ****.
