How do you pay for your pony?

As I count down my days managing a pizzahut and await to start my new job I was just curious to hear what other people do? My new job will be making the explosive charge that pushes the airbag out. So what do the rest of you all do to pay for your addiction??

I'm a mechanical engineer. I primarily design, inspect, and maintain pressure vessels and heat exchangers for a local plant.

I managed a guy that had just graduated with a bachelors in chemical engineering... he was having a tough time finding a job! Engineering of any sort is something I find fascinating.

He should have moved to Houston. BP, Chevron, Shell, Exxon, and the lot cannot find enough 22 year old chemical engineers to pay $100k+ to fill out their payroll.

I'm not exaggerating at all, by the way.

Yep. That's $100k for kids who just got out of school. They'll double their salary in well under 10 years.

C'mon man, first post! Mechanical engineer. Experience pertains to oil/gas, upstream and downstream. I'm still fresh out of school, though. Just graduated in May.

Currently unemployed but looking. I'm paying my pony with money I have saved over the years working; mowing (still do it once in a while), some field work, and the previous job I had, worked at the technology office for the school district. I left that job for various reasons one of them to focus on my studies but then thee pony came along, I just had to get her, so I got back looking for a job. In the current state I'm going I'll have to start paying her with scholarship money (I've earned) and some financial aid money I have stored in my bank account. I have never really touched that scholarship money unless it was for books; I have a fair amount to pay for my pony without worries, but I don't want to bring the money down too much. Since I'll start paying for my education with that money. Hopefully I'll find a job asap

I live in Houston Tx (The Woodlands) but I travel all over with my job. I'm a (DCS) Distributive Controls System Engineer. I work for Leidos and they have me contracted to Entergy. My team and I are responsible for the NERC/CIP compliance of the entire Entergy Fossil Plant fleet. In a nut shell, we make sure "Hackers/Terrorist" can not access the plant control systems over the interwebz....

We mine metallurgical coal at my

I paid for my pony working as a Shift Manager/ Pizza Maker at Little Caesars. Got Paid jack sh*t for wages, and don't ask me how I managed to do it, But I saved everything I made and threw down 8 grand to buy it.

The older guy Who worked with me didn't believe I paid cash for it. Kept asking "How much is your note?" Up until the day I quit. That's when you know you're damn poor.

I just got hired as a line cook for a huge retirement community. So now my only problem will be what Mods i'll do first.

I paid for mine with internship money (software engineer) and for the past year or so with a full time software position.

Any other software engineers out there? It seems a lot of people have mechanical type jobs, but I have yet to meet a fellow software engineer here on the forum.
