Yes it has, but the Hellcat is from the factory like the Shelbys (SVT) were. The RTR or after market has always had a a way to beat the factory produced cars. Straight factory SRT to SVT Chrysler wins this time. Time will tell

No doubt someone (aftermarket vendor) will take the Hellcat and tweek it to beat this 2015 Mustang RTR.

The game goes on....

It's the late 60's/early 70's muscle car wars all over again.

I don't view the mustang, camaro or challenger as muscle I view them as they were branded pony cars because a muscle car in my opinion is a family car with a big *** engine in it and a sports car has two seat the pony car is in the middle of both these things

True, those were pony cars at the time, but I also think that when they started dumping big motors in the pony cars, the line was crossed and the definition blurred. Especially as decades have gone by, the term "muscle car" just seems to have stuck. And it just sounds so much cooler than "pony car".

5.0 with 725hp> 6.2 with 707hp ... Hell even 750hp. Why can ford make more hp out of smaller lighter engines and no one bring that up in the head to head reviews?

The larger engine makes a sh*t ton more torque and doesn't have to rev out to 7,500+ rpm to make decent power.

Also, you are comparing an aftermarket build to a factory car. I imagine the Hellcat when modded will be able to put down 750-800+ whp with no issues at all.

If you are focused on HP/L then the Honda S2000 (2.0L 240hp) makes 120 HP per Liter of displacement all while being NA. The Mazda FD RX7 (1.3L 280HP) made 215 HP per Liter, stock. There are many 3.0L Toyota 2JZ cars running 1000+ HP, 330+ HP per Liter. 725hp from 5.0L is not anything remotely impressive.

LOL whatever bro.
The rtrs have ford bolt ons. The rtr is considered a package just like the hellcat.
If you're worried about torque I wouldn't bring up wankel engines or Japanese 4 bangers

The Hellcat isn't a package. It's a factory car.

The RTR isn't any package available from Ford. Go to Ford.com and attempt to build your RTR Mustang .... it's not going to happen.

The Hellcat is the top model of the Challenger and comes directly from Chrysler, much like the GT500 was the top model of Mustang that came directly from Ford.

RTR is an aftermarket company that sells their packages direct to select dealerships and consumers, just like Saleen, Roush, etc. You can buy a standard GT from any dealer and buy the RTR packages or some of the parts from Ford Racing if you would like. You can't do that with the Hellcat, the same as you can't with the GT500.

Also, you were the one that brought up HP/L. I'm not worried about torque, I made the statement that larger engines produce more torque but you were implying HP/L, then 725 HP from 5.0L is nothing impressive, 145 HP/L, the same as a new Mitsubshi Lancer Evolution X. Nowhere did I mention anything about a Wankel or inline 4 in regards to torque.

Bahahaha. Because RTR will be allowing them to be sold at certain Ford dealers
