Any1 swapped their 9145 fog bulbs for 9005?

I know there's a wattage difference and a slight difference in the lock tabs on them but jw. I would like brighter fog lights w/o going HIDs.

Because HIDs in fogs are completely pointless and yes they will scatter the light everywhere and piss off incoming traffic.

Yes 9005s should be fine. However don't use 9005s, use 9011s. You have to trim the tab on the 9005s anyway so the 9011s won't be much different. 9011s are the HIR bulbs I've talked about in other threads. They are what snow plows use because they are 75% as bright as a 4300K HID at 2300 lumens. Brighter than the rice 8K HIDs that dumbasses put in their cars that is for sure.

New Genuine Philips HIR1 (9011) & Philips HIR2 (3rdGen) (9012) -- ON SALE!!

I had them in my hi beams and they were white. Had I kept the car I would have replaced the HIDs in the DEPO projectors with 9012 HIRs.

Jes, I am stangless. I will either do something stupid and remedy the situation too soon or I'll be smart and wait and save up for something really nice.

Here is a pic of the HIRs. The cutoff is the HIDs but those two really freaking bright spotlights on the garage are the hi beams with the 9011 bulbs.

Yes, halogens as bright as a higher end aftermarket HID kit... head explode.

Edit: There is no blue film or anything to achieve that pure white either, they are just really goddamn bright.

Those are bright AF. I know the feeling. Had my beautiful v6 from 2010-2013 then sold it last year & got that 05 GT that had minor issues. Sold it and had a 98 black GT with major issues lol but went most of this year I'm a poop dakota then happened upon my 2010 GT. Yes it's auto & yes it's a 4.6 lol but I don't care I love it quite a bit!! You'll get something great I'm sure!
