I drove from a small town in New Mexico near the Texas border to Dallas. Easily 8+ hours.

If you're talking road trips then I went to Montana from Dallas and back, and to LA, CA, and back. fun fun

Take the E-brake off. I work in Austin and live in San Angelo. Takes me 3 hours. Midland/Odessa is about an hour past San Angelo and College Station is about an hour past Austin, 5 hours tops. Once you get out into the country side you can haul, just watch out for deer, damn things.

25 plus hours from Mobile AL to Toronto, Canada in a Datsun B-210 2 door sedan with the entire back seats and trunk filled beyond capacity and the seat almost all the way forward without sleep and only pit stops for gas, food and rest room. We had liquid speed and Jolt soda to keep us awake.

Who has been to the small town of Seagraves Texas? Well, thats where I live, and its right in the middle of Lubbock and Midland/Odessa. So I live about 100 mile from anywhere!! Not including other small po dunk towns... Well I do kind live closer to Hobbs NM, but thats doesnt count...

Longest single trip was about 16 hours, from seagraves texas, up through the beautiful land New Mexico, into Colorado and back. All in the same day!!
