It sounded decent for a 6. Didn't sound like a 400+ horsepower 6 though

There's nothing wrong with V6 Mustangs! The FIRST Mustang came with a V6 and Optional V8.
What's wrong is poser badging ANY car to pretend, con, manipulate others into thinking you are driving something you are not.
Like the car below....a Honda Accord......like having a V6 Mustang and actually putting Cobras on it and the Shelby name.

Have you seen people do the opposite? Back in the day, I had a friend with a '68 coupe with a 428. It was badged 302. Surprised a lot of SS396s when he walked them badly.

Can't say I've been under the hood of a lot of 4 cylinder 1970's Mustangs but the ones I have seen all had the 2.3L I-4

Don't get angry bro. You too can get a bad a$$ 6 for cheap and join the party. The cyclone owners including myself do drive around like we are hot doo doo because we are super bad a$$. .

When I drive in my 3.7 I feel like my balls are the size of bowling balls! 😎

I don't know why people hate so much on the v6's! A lot of people who buy v6's are using them as daily drivers and bought them as a more sporty form of basic transportation instead of a typical generic car. Plus the v6's sales help drive down production costs to make the V8's affordable for us.

V6 is a fine model, I just don't care for people putting GT, 5.0 and Shelby badges on them.
The same people wear Dolex watches and Channel number five cologne.

When in Las Vegas

I went to the Shelby Factory. The guy that showed us around asked what I was driving. I told him it was a 2012 3.7 V6. He informed me that they had a program that for $10,400 they could get me 475 horsepower and make my car a genuine Shelby with a Numbers plate and a few emblem changes.
That was in 2012 when I went out to the S.E.M.A show.
I don't need the extra power because I'm more then satisfied how my car runs. I can buy a Shelby or GT500 anytime I want to but I love my Mustang and I'm keeping it for a very long time. It will cruise all day at 85/90 MPH and still get 29 MPG on a trip. I can use 87 octane exclusively. With my Magnaflow streets it sounds perfect to my ears. It definitely looks great being RED CANDY.
I think the 5.0 2011 up coyote engine is one of the best engines ever made but so is the 3.7 Cyclone with it's Forged rods and forged crank. Neither engine is really better but the coyote is way more powerful. It is nice to have the V8 if you want it, But you sure can't say the 3.7 V6 Cyclone engine is not a good powerful engine in a Mustang.

As far as the OP making his car into a Shelby Clone. It is fine if he wants people to laugh at him if he goes to any car shows. 99% of the car people know it is a fake Shelby. Putting the Shelby name on the car is just not right.

When I was in High School those Mustang II's could be had for almost nothing and I knew a couple people that had them and they had the 2.3's. The only thing exciting about that motor was trying to merge on to a freeway.

I don't have any hate towards v6s per se, my first car was a v6 mustang and i loved it, but as time passes people are getting more and more "mean" because of how social media practically dictates society, and now just going up to a random stranger on the street and flipping 'em off is a no big deal to kids growing up these days. Even the older crowd are frequently there to rev their engines/honk at you with a smirk.

Just today I had a 2011 v6 just drive around me in circles twice slowing down and reving its engine at me while I was pumping gas.

Mustang culture and community used to be a beautiful thing, but consumer vanity has turned it into another status symbol, which is why I cringe when I see other mustangs on the road these days.

That's probably the Procharged Shelby GTS package he was talking about.
