Making CAI for a friend.

I'm trying to make a few extra bucks on the side. My friend Nathan has a 2002 Chevy Cavalier. This thing doesn't get any slower. It's an automatic and the day I drove it, I punched it and it didn't even go 30MPH.

So the next day I said to him, I'm gonna make a Cold Air Induction system for his car. Since I'm trying to save money and not spend it, I have som thin guage sheet metal lying out back and decieded to put my welding skills to the test.

Now below is my advanced MS Paint C.A.D. CNC Machine Template that I made.

And by using the Ag. Mechanics shop at my school, I already have the intake tube rolled. Still needs to be sized and the seam welded. I still need to cut the sheet metal for the "Throttle Body Box" as we're calling it right now.

Hopefully if this goes good, I can get my name out across the High School parking lot and get some extra cash on the side to pay for mods on the car.

Whish me luck.

Oh, and me and my friend James might try to make a cheaper (than eBay ) CAI for our V6 Mustangs.

wow noting better to do at school? make sure to paint that, the welds will rust bad. when we made our "box" that had to hold water for 48hrs i welded it all up then painted the inside. Mine held the longest. no rust and the teasher still has it till this day.
