It was the seat in the F100 that helped make our daughter
Then we needed a back seat.

64 Corvette experimental XP-819 rear engine. Has a marine 350 in it. As you can see some design cues were adopted for the C3.

Here is one that my dad wadded up back in the day. It's hard to see in this photo, but the back seat wedged itself between the front seat and the roof, acting as a roll bar of sorts, possibly saving his life.

Pick your poison.
I thought that it looked sort of like a chopped and channeled C3.

Have you ever seen one of these?

Bill Thomas was the designer/builder of the 20+ Cheetahs that were built. He was formerly the tuner for Chevrolet. The drivetrain and some of the suspension components were Corvette... All supplied right out the backdoor of Chevrolet!
It is rumored that they were going to be sold by Chevrolet as a race car to combat the Cobras on the track. It never happened due to rule changes in the class that they were to race in, along with a fire that destroyed Bill Thomas' shop. It is also suspected that GM wasn't thrilled with the idea of a Cheetah sitting on the showroom floor next to a Corvette.
They were fast. A 200 mph capable car! They were also kind of tricky to drive. Much like the Cobra, the chassis wasn't stiff enough, which created a lot of flex during cornering.

Yes, a 65 Deora, built by the Alexander brothers and adopted by Dodge for the 67 Detroit Autorama. Front window is from a 60 Ford wagon.

If that banner would have read "Classic Fargo Pickups", Gravydog would have got it straight away.

Speaking of twin sticks, 1973 International, 6V53 Detroit with a 5X4, tired driver at the end of the day with a sore elbow from 2nd to 3rd and back all day in the Brownie.
I did drive a 75 Pete long nose with a 675HP 1693 Cat in it, used to beat cars of the line with that one. It also had a 60 inch Mercury sleeper on it, a big house in those days.

Second one I drove, also 2 sticks, Fuller 5 with progressive Brownie, 318 Detroit. Yes it was loud. After driving all day I would come home still vibrating and hearing those stacks for the next couple of hours.
