Snow!

Hope everyone is staying safe. Would not recommend driving your Mustang in 15". Yes I I know you guys up in the northern states are laughing at us. People around here freak out and buy like $300 worth of groceries thinking they'll be snowed in for a week. Well be fine Monday...

Lol the supermarkets were like a circus yesterday. Ppl are morons. It'll stop snowing in probably another 12 hours and then all the plows will have a good day to get the roads drivable.

Snow!

Yeah, I can never figure out how people will run out of milk, eggs, bottled water, or bread in the one or two days the roads are bad. Do people gorge themselves when they're stuck inside?

Oh I have a few relatives who work in hospitals and they will vouch that after big storms like this there is a surge in babies born 9-10 months later.

I just probably should have stocked up on a little more alcohol... that's my bad...

We had our 6 inches last Wednesday, then it rained on Friday and we got cold again Saturday with another inch. So I have 3 inches of ice.
Now all you people in the North are really laughing at the little 6 inches of snow, but our county has 1 plow to do all non State roads and a snow removal budget of like $2000, so no Overtime.

6" is about the total I've gotten here in N.E. Mass., so far this season.

Mud owns a plow (well 1/2 of one) my neighbor and I went splitsy on it. Life is good! 12" or so at my house

When I lived in SC we had 1/2" once. They put about 3/4" of sand on top of it. I went to the bar in my Triumph Spitfire. It was packed with Yankees or what they more accurately called us "Dang Yankees"

I lived in North Billerica MA during the Blizzard of 78. We had 4 feet of snow. Had an 8 foot snow drift on our wood pile and the opposite corner of the house had none. 16 years old and running my dad's 780 Case backhoe pushing snow.

Jeez. How much snow do you guys typically get? We had a blizzard the first month I lived here in Northern Colorado after moving from southern California and it was about 4-5 feet, I think. Still one of my worst experiences here, since we were living in a basement apartment with only half my family and hardly any food lol

Yes I remember the Blizzard of ’78 very well. I was lucky enough to have left work early and barely avoided this...

First night a buddy and myself were on snow mobiles taking people from 128 to a shelter set up in Waltham until the National Guard kind of said to go home
And yes Terry I agree, but most of the time we do not get more than a inch or so here, so I will live it.

Yeah I hear you, I lived in New Jersey for 13 years and in the Chicago area for 37 years, winters just seemed to get snowier and colder, I had enough and got the heck out of there, lol.

In Wisconsin, our total snowfall is almost 14" below average for this time of year. Hell, some of y'all got that much in one night!

I'm not complaining, we have above average temps which means we're closer to rain...and you all know what that means

Man, it was so cold in Central Florida these past few days. I wasn't sure if I was going to be able to get out to buy milk, eggs, or bread because it was so cold. I had to put on a long sleeve shirt, a jacket, then I roughed it out of the garage, and into my trusty 2007 F150. Whew, it started up, and I managed to drive in the severe cold (42 degrees) to the store.
I punched an old lady for her eggs, kicked a guy's walking cane from under him for his milk, and luckily, the bread shelf was loaded with fresh bread.
All in all, it was a horrible experience I had to go through. Hope it warms up soon; don't know how much more of this cold Central Florida weather I can take.

He didn't mention the banana spiders or invasive 20' constrictor snakes tho.

I personally like most snakes but I like living in a place where it annually gets cold enough half the year to send the bugs back to hell where they belong.

I agree. They do spray annually in my town to eliminate mosquitoes. I'm sure it's not good for my lifespan but what the hell, fewer years with no bugs is okay by me.

The snakes you talk about are in south Florida.

Life is good again; Central Florida back into the 70's today. Whew; not sure how much more 40 degree weather we could take.
