when buying gas - "LOOK AT WHAT YOUR BUYING"""

10% Ethanol was bad enough but now we have to worry about 15% ethanol in the gas we buy.

I wonder how long it will be before we see 15% ethanol replacing 10%?

I am also curious as to the effects this garbage has on engines that were designed to run leaded gasoline? The owners of those vintage autos will have to purchase lead additive, and an additive to combat the ethanol.

Ethanol free is hard to find in my area. When it is found the price is more than I can justify. I am already running 93 octane.

In my town we have around 4 stations that sell non ethanol fuel. They just built a new racetrac that offers E-85, the normal 10% and non ethanol fuel.

I accidentally filled up a rental with the E85 once. I went through the entire tank with no ill effect.

There are a couple stations here that offer ethanol free but the octane is only 85. So I stick to the 93 with ethanol.

Almost all of the Gregs Gas Plus stations in North Augusta and Aiken carry 93 octane ethanol free. I haven't looked on your side of the river. I always use the one on atomic Rd in NA. On average I see at least 10% gains in fuel economy according to fuelie running the non ethanol in all my vehicles. Hell, I use the non ethanol in the cars, bikes, and even my lawn tools.

If only N. Augusta was closer. The fuel prices over the river are cheaper also.

Grammar is important. Its the difference between helping your Uncle Jack off a horse and helping your uncle jack off a horse.

I use pure 87 octane gas in my 1977 Boat motor. It cost 5 cents a gallon more than the 93 octane 10% ethanol gas i run in my Mustang

The vintage cars need to redo their valve seats to run unleaded. The lead in the old Gas was used as a lubricant. As for the 10% enthol, the alcohol eats rubber seals. So valve seals rubber Gas lines etc dry out faster then they would have using non ethanol. Your small engines like lawn mower etc where not made to run it. So the rubber Gas line needs to be replaced every few years to keep them running right. As for now the Cafe and EPA are pushing this crappie on every one. Get used to it if a certain party wins in Nov. Cause they are all about controlling every aspect of your life.
