Hurricane Matthew

Praying and hoping all of you FL guys stay safe. It looks like this monster is giving the coast a close shave. Daytona Beach (Ronnie and Mario) will likely get the first punch. You guys in Jacksonville are next, and then my coastal GA and SC are going to get hammered.

I have a lot of friends in Savannah, and the picture the media is presenting is ugly.

I'm from the coast. I was raised on Hilton Head Island. My home town island may get a pretty good pressure washing.

Part of me is thankful I am in Augusta at the moment. If I was located in Savannah / Tybee I would ride the storm out. Everyone needs a good hurricane party.

I live between Orlando and Daytona beach (Lake Mary). As of this writing (10:08 AM Friday), we got through yet another hurricane. Lots of debris in the yard and street, lots of strong and gusty winds, but no damage to the home.

Here's hoping Ronnie and Mario did as well.

Glad to hear that Bucko. ...and so far I have not heard from Ronnie, but I doubt the internet is his priority right now.

It looks like the storm is going to skip off the coast for a few miles and then pummel Savannah. I have everyone out that I know, and that was willing to leave. I live up the river, so we are just expecting a lot of wind and rain.

Being from the coast I have gone through a few hurricanes. I doubt I would have left my home. I would rather get my family out, and then stay myself to care for the property.

Has anyone heard from Ronnie? The storm is hovering and beating on Savannah, Hilton Head, and Project Pony and myself now. It isn't as bad as was expected, but it isn't pretty. I have friends in Savannah and on Tybee that are reporting back to me about the storm.

It's not bad on my side of the river Revvv. Light drizzle, no wind. We are protected by the valley though. A few people lost power in North Augusta. Hope all those on the coast are okay.

The storm sat on top of Savannah until 4 am this morning. I have a friend working one of the emergency crews down there. He said it was a windy night.

I'm here in daytona beach. Came out of the storm really good just minor damage to out fence and some trees. Just got power back last night. I was trying to find Ronnie phone number cause he is local here as well but I guess I lost it with getting a new phone.

We have now had two instances of 12"+ overnight rain here in SE Virginia in the last three weeks. Major flooding this time.
Glad to hear that people are coming out of this beast pretty well.

Proving to my fellow racers that the disdain that some GT drivers have for V6 drivers is unfounded, one results archive at a time since 2013.

I lost power for 10 hours, regained it, only to then loose cable on Saturday at around 3:00 PM...missed two college football games (Tennessee vs Texas A&M and the Florida State verses Miami). Just got cable and internet back at noon Sunday.
So, other then being stuck in in a chair after foot surgery, all is well.
