OMG - I'm driving an "ELECTRIC CAR"

My neighbor has a new PRIUS that he calls his "ELECTRIC" car.
He said it is nothing really new because ALL cars are Electric cars.
He is 100% correct because all gas powered cars do run on Electricity.
A diesel can run without Electric but still needs it for starting ( Glow Plug)
They also need it for lights etc.
I feel really funny now that I find out my "RED RYDER" is an Electric car.
It is kind of like Red Ryder just came out of the closet.
I still love my Mustang though and will just have to live with the fact it is an Electric Car.

Accept it because it is true.
I know you are devastated at this news but "LIKE ME" You will live through it.
It is still a Mustang, And ya still gotta put gas in the tank.
Most people will never ever know it is an electric car.

Don't believe it, Go remove your battery and unplug the alternator and try to start your Mustang and go for a nice joyful ride.
It ain't gonna happen.
Lets just face it, We drive Electric cars but who really cares as long as we drive a Mustang.

My car may have a battery, but it doesn't need a power outlet to refuel it. ...and you can hear my car, unlike a "true" electric such as Tesla. I am only limited in driving distance by the availability of gas stations. I don't have to wait extended amounts of time to recharge. I can fill the tank and go.

...but yes, all cars need electricity. Even diesels need electricity. Without it there would be no headlights, indicators, etc.

Stupid electric car. I'm going back to steam technology.

Pull the battery cable while it is running and see how fat it shuts off. No fuel pump.

Although we need power to make the internal combustion engine work we per say do not have to worry about the electric motor. Our internal combustion engine is self sufficient in the electrical department while a true electric car needs to be recharged.
My biggest beef is the guys around here complaining about my gasoline powered vehicle while they are driving a coal powered vehicle. 95 percent of our power is from coal in the Tennessee Valley.

Mustang is Fine, the F-150 took the hit in the right rear quarter panel. My Back and neck are both hurting, been to the Doc twice and did a crap load of X-Rays. I should not need to turn a light on for a day or 2
