srt 4 vs 3rd gen eclipse GST video

The eclipse dyno's at 264whp/284wtq at 8.5 psi. Not sure of his timeslips, but I have seen his dyno.
His car is here: www.acceleratedautosports.com. The srt has turboback exhaust and agp wastegate.

woo the eclipse pulls ahead at the last second. too bad its not a 2nd gen those 3rd gens suck balls. he can really turn up the boost(if hes forged) cause hes only running 8.5psi.

that eclipse has like 3k done in mods tho the srt has about 500 bucks worth

cause those eclipses dont come with a turbo. he just turboed the stock 4banger and calls it a gst. even with the turbo that engine could only produce 260hp. thats pathetic. 3 grand in mods and ill be around 300hp. just check dsmtuners.com and have a looksey. dont the srt4 already have like 224hp to begin with? the gst(like mine) dyno at like 200 so were already behind. and those 3rd gens the v6 gt version has only like 190hp. but thats not a gt its a 4banger. i think it makes 150hp.

anyways i saved tha movie and ill be watching it over and over for the next couple days.

the srt's come with a projected 230HP rating but most dyno 235ish at the wheels so they have about 240-245hp at the engine stock. 2 grand in mods puts the car in the 12's. Mopar hasnt even released stage 2 yet alone stage 3. With 3k in mods id guess it would be at about 400whp. In a 2800 lb car........They are just beasts.

In that vid the srt prb has about 255whp with his mods and about 280ft lbs. Basically being stock u can c how the power to weight can beat cars with more hp and tq. These cars r pulling modded cars in bone stock form.

id hope your car is faster than mine stock. after all, youre technology under the hood exceedes mine by what, 6 years? alot of turbo tuning tech has come out in that time. and you have a 16g turbo, right? i only gots the 14b, capable of 15lbs max boost before i blow up that puppy. i think you can handle upwards of 20-22lbs. of boost.

i think that kaminari kit looks better than the stock kit the srt4 comes with. not much dfferenct between a srt4 and a regular neon, except the wing. and my mom got the srt4 wing off ebay painted, so shes rollin srt4 style. she even has the snoflake rims that are on the srt4's i see around here. now all she needs is a turbo kit............ and some nos...........

and cmon, dont call dom an idiot. he just cant read, thats all. we could call him something, but all the neon lights kinda gave that away.......

i put my car in neutral and then revved it 3 times then put it in D3 when it was at the 5 (my other car) ((acura)) it was fun, theres was smoke 8)

the srt has a cast iron block which is capable of much higher boost settings but air/fuel ratio needs to be upgraded to be able to handle it. Stock boost is 14psi but can easily be upped. I dont have anything bad to say about GS-T's and GSX eclipses i think they r badass cars and if i could find one with super low miles id consider to get it but the truth is u really cant find one under 30k miles. And i wouldnt wanna go thru a turbo and engine swap just to have one. Mod for mod and stock the SRT is a faster car but im payin a lil more then you and being so new the aftermarket isnt very large yet (of course that will change) GS-T eclipses get a thumbs up in my book As far as dom goes he trolls all my posts lookin for something bad to say and is just lookin like a idiot doing so. If he doesnt act like one i wont call him one

oh **** guess what i got installed today muss, K&N Filter yo. it makes a fat *** difference in many things

1. Turbo spools up way faster.
2. Stock BOV actually does make a noise..........
3. Exhaust note has changed.
4. my foot seems to be really heavy

the first time i took it for a spin. i mustve smiled the whole way. i revved on some integra and popped my BOV right next to him and his jaw dropped. i think i lost .2 secs off my 1/4, making it a flat 15. well see come spring when tracks open. next is 3" turbo back exhaust, and all new intercooler piping. oh and they just shipped out my RFL BOV yesterday so it wont get here til the 19th. oh and my halo reverse guages are here too, but im having a shop install them, im not gonna fk with that.

thats sweet i hear k and n makes a lil difference in my car too. Try to get a all metal CAI or ram air intake if u dont already have one. Turbo spool sound is sweet then. Must b nice to have ur car already get some pics. Good choice on the RFL too. Im getting mine from summit since i work 5 miles away as well as a turboxs boost control.

yeha im just gonna get the injen intake filter to turbo pipe, then get this whole intercooler pipe kit off ebay for 170. thatll make it look real nice and give it a little more hp. like 5 or so. then theres this free mod where i pull out this screw in the wastegate and i get 2 more lbs of boost and its fully reversable(for warranty), although theres a chance i might hit the dreaded "fuel cut" that our cars have when the ecu detects a lean condition. it cuts fuel and almost shuts off the engine till the a/f ratio gets better. even though its ok to run 20lbs of boost on the 4g63's stock internals, im not gonna add any until im forged. which will be in long time, cause i start school august and ill be moving away into apartment, more than likely with no garage.

im once again considering the mopar BOV (69 bucks) and doesnt need a adapter kit. It sounds good but can sometimes cause boost leak if not installed well. This way my first mod can be the mopar bov and the AEM short ram air intake instead of just the turboxs and adapter piece i could pick up an extrta 5-10 hp.

if you want that thing to spool much faster...just hack the exhaust off before the cat

i knocked the tail section of the exhaust off of my dodge, and just that small section made a big difference, but around that same time, my wastedgate selenoid got stuck and it gives me full boost all the time....which is only 11psi
