Weight Lifting Gurus Wanted.

alright, heres the deal...

I've been lifting for about a month and I'm seeing really good results. I'm eating plenty of protein and carbs, basically, 40/40/20 with pro. carbs. and fats.
I've only really drank water and whey protein shakes (about 3 a day, one in the morning, one 30 minutes before a workout, and one right after a workout)

My mom worked some overtime this week and got a check for $800 some odd dollars, she supports me and is proud that I am lifting weights, she is also proud that I have declined many offers for fast food and saved her a lot of money actually, so she said she'd buy me some supplements in the morning (saturday)

She basically said she'd buy me anything as long as it wasn't steroids (which i don't want to take anyways) and she'd spend up to $100.

So, my questions are.. other than a 5 lb. tub of Whey Protein powder, what should I get? Is L-Glutamine good? What else should i use?

are to trying to build mass or get cut? if you want to gain mass you need some type of weight gainer and some amino acids and hit the weights hard. i went from 130lbs to 165lbs in three months and went from bench pressing 195lbs to 265lbs. to get cut i'm not to sure what you need. light weights and alot of reps is all i know. good luck.

Right now, I am trying to build mass, I want to be cut and have lean muscle in the end but as long as i don't top 200lbs, i'm fine with gaining some fat. (which, i know i'll be gaining if I'm also gaining muscle.)

today, i went to GNC and spent $96 on supplements, would have been $118 if I hadnt had a gold card.. lol, the **** is expensive. I got 6lbs of Whey Protein, Creatine Monohydrate, Amino Acids, L-Glutamine Powder, and a multi-vitamin.

sounds good 8) you shouldn't top 200lbs depending on current weight and height. i ccurrently weigh 190lbs and i'm 5'9" but i also haven't lifted weights since high school.(graduated in 1999)

I was on creatine when I was in 8th grade lol. It helped me out alot during basketball and baseball season.

Since 8th grade tho i havent been lifting any weights or taking anything. Just being lazy.

I'm not in any sports but I do use my school weight room.. My only real goal is to break the highschool record in bench press, it's 375lbs. set by a kid who weighed just around 400lbs., I want to be able to bench 400lbs while i weigh under 200 before I graduate.

It's more of a personal health, yeah, but the record was set in 99, no one has broke it yet.. so i guess you could say it's a competition.

as for brent, you lazy bum, lol.

creatine sucks. my medical physiology teacher just finished an experiment with it in rats. he actually found that their stamina DECREASED with the more you take. not increased like normally thought.

plus, there is no question that your muscles get bigger from it, but that is water weight. once you stop taking it, it will go away. people say it helps them in the gym lift longer, but as my teacher's experiment showed, it doesnt. its the placebo effect. hope your mom didnt spend too much money on the creatine

the rest is fine though.

creatine was 11.90 and 20% off of it cause of the gold card. I'd rather take it and hope for results than not know at all.

many people have said it works, i'll give it a shot.

ill chime in here being pretty serious into lifting a few years ago. Supplements r a waste bro. The only good ones r creatine, multivit and possibly a few prohormones. Dont waste ur money on over sugar'd weight gainers. Just eat solid food and a lot of it. Keep your protein up about a gram per pound of body weight if not more if u can daily. Keep the sugars low and the carbs low. First set of pics r me when i was 18 the last ones r last year at the gym. Since starting my new job i am not like i used to but im at about 5'10 200lbs at the moment. I used to want to compete but its very tasking on the body and money wise. Ive done every supplement for size u can think of at one point. Legal and illegal.

I've gotta buy more weight, I went to Ball State University two weeks ago to lift and I maxed out at 200, but I only did two reps, here at the house I have 130lbs of weight and i do it like it's nothing.
