Style or Performance?

Being that I have to pay my car off, I'm only gonna be working on one area for awhile. Style or performance. Performance would consist off a build-up of a new engine and start assembling a "junkyard" turbo.

Or, I save up to model my car after this one here. [http://v6stangs.mustang-forums.com/viewtopic.php?t=5274]. Adding the chrome Saleen style rims and lowering springs.

The only thing that is set in stone right now is to finish what I have planned with the interior and making the custom exhaust set-up.

So what should I go with? Speed or style?

Also, this is my 1700th post since I've been here in November.

I'd rather have an excellent car that looks like a potato than something that looks like god's penis and it drives like it had a 2 cyl engine in it

umm arent you like 16? id do style, performance gets you in trouble if youre young and stupid. trust me, ive been there, im still not out of it (thus a turbo car), but if you got the power youre gonna flaunt it, and get in trouble with johnny law. id say style. then in a couple years when you make bank, you can buy a actual saleen, and have a daily driver and a weekend runner.

or you can do both. rotate every mod, 1st do intake, then tint, then exhaust, then rims, then porting, then saleen kit, then n2o, then paint. i left the paint last cause i know you be liking the unpainted kit you riceboy. jk bro. but just do both, mod when you have money saved. its also way funner to save about 2g's, then do a bunch of mods at once, than a little at a time, that way, it feels like christmas even though it could be in july or such. lets see, i can give you a price list for those mods.

saleen kit on ebay - 600 for the good one
saleen/cobra r's on ebay - 800
blue paint job - 600-800
tint with blue flame - 300

yep just as i thought, about 2500. what could you get in performance on a 6er for 2500? someone give me a list.

Performance

Tbird SC setup $400 complete. add $375 for a fordchip. OR Nitrous - $400-500 or both if you really have the urge.

Good suspension $400-$1000 depending on how good you want it.

Style without performance is like a girl that looks hot and is a dead potato in the sack.

Where's the option for both? Quite frankly, I believe your car deserves an equal ballance of performance and style. I don't care if it's a 10 second car, if it looks like ****, well hey, good luck impressing the ladies!!! 8) Some people say wheels are enough style, and hey, that's a good start. Get wheels, do some performance work. Then do some more style work, then do another performance mod. Look at me. Started with a body kit, did exhaust upgrade, put on a spoiler, put in a CAI, etc. If you're looking for a drag car, then by all means, go all performance, but to turn a V6 mustang into a drag car will take a lot of money and time. The important thing to keep in mind is to not make a car that's all show and no go.

I'm all for both. My body work is done, as is rims. Now I'm workin on finishing the engine off. I say alternate with mods.

Performance will get you in trouble no matter the age. But you have to learn from mistakes(tickets) otherwise you'll just get those tickets later anyways.

I will proly do the alternate deal, but I will prolly put more an emphasis on performance. But new rims and tires are definately first or second.

Both it is. I'll just take some cash away from what ever I have left from the paycheck and add it to the appearance fund. I want to just have the body work and repaint the car all at once.

So, I'm gonna finish the add-on stuff for the interior, do the exhaust and do the CAI, and then save up for the rims.

Thanks for all the help.

I had to get a front bumper , got in a accident. I bought the hood cause i already spent a **** load on the bumper and it woulda been like the same to ship, so i just bought the hood at teh same time.
But thats why i havent bought rims.
To me, rims can suck my cack. But a new engine for the price of rims.... will work so much better.

I just want perfomance.
I dont think iam keeping this six anyway, its gonna be parts for me.
Its been in a accident, and I dont want a v6 anymore.

im looking for a 94-95 gt non accident good condition.

then you can't be an admin here any more, sorry, I'll just have to take your place

j/k

I would agree with you, but I cannot stand how the stock wheels look, but thats me, rims will be one the the first things I do, prolly not THE first, but it will be up there. Other than that, outward appearance prolly won't come till I am satisfied with my performance

Depends on the rims. And plain black rim, no. Polished lip and polished center cap.... :thumb2:
