For you skinny haters...

i just was able to test my new skinnies (165r's) mounted on 15x3.5's in the rain. the sad, sad, sad thing is that they treaded more water and braked quicker in the rain than my stock 15x7 tires: goodyear eagle ga 205/65/15's... go figure. thanks ford for giving us absolutely ****ty tires!

A smaller width tire has less of a tendancy to hydroplane, regardless of tire. The same weight is placed on a smaller surface area, the car will want to sink in the water more. Skinny wheels are better for snow, too; they have to displace less snow to go the same distance.

That is correcto BlueDonkey. The fact is look at the US military all there vehicles have tall skinny tires better in snow, rain, and even mud really wide tires have an advantage in loose sand
