screw midwest mustang.

So i just want one brake caliper braket.
He said, 60 bucks for brake caliper, and bracket.
I said no, i just want the bracket, its a cheap item.

He said 60 bucks for just the bracket or with the caliper, take your pick.

What a *****. Way to run a salvage yard. I can buy it new from ford for 25 bucks. So i just went and did that. Stupid hoes.

They do charge a lot, I asked for prices that seem very high. I rather sneek to a junkyard at night a steal it.

Yea, he wanted like 500 for a rearend 8.8'', I could buy one brand new for 600-800, or buy a whole car, that was totalled for 1000 lmao. Someone on stangnet, bought a 95 gt for 850 bucks, took what the needed, and sold the rest, after he parted it out, he made money and got his parts..

Wait a minute Charles think about this. He is a dismantler. He takes a brake system off and sells the complete setup. If he takes bracket off he does not have the bracket to sell with the caliper.

I have ordered a bunch of stuff from him and I have run into a situtation where he did not want to break up a system. No reason to slam him for it. Are his prices high, That is debatable but when I have needed something he was there and was quick to get it out. Oh and calling people a ****tard is a rather non decent way to talk about people and I would ask you to refrain from inflamatory remarks on the open forum

I think his prices are a little high, I mean im not slaming him, but he could be more flexable on some prices. I do understand that he is taking everything off the cars. Also it is true about taking out one piece, never thought of it like that. I do most my buying on ebay, so what do i know

Wrong he is not a junk yard. He makes good money on ebay selling complete caliper assemblies not piece parts. Some piece parts are available but not brake assembiles.

You dont go to a store that sells lawn mowers and ask them to take a part off a lawnmower to sell to you No So dont expect him to do it.

Damn Charles grow up please. Do you go around calling people ****tards every time they tell you someting you dont like ??????

The best thing is to just move up to PBR dual piston calipers off a 99+ V6 or GT. It is cheap and does not require larger rotors

Terry has always come through with me too. He's just like anyone else that sells parts, some things he charges more than others for, however there are parts that he sells for a good price. If you're not interested in the price he has, head to another place like you said you did. It's like how steeda charges 200+ for one of their ultralite wheels where i can go to another website that sells the same thing for 174.99

This is America. Midwest can sell what it owns, for as much as it wants to and YOU don't have to buy it. Don't like it you can find another source.

IF I was selling parts and you wanted a part that cost $25 new would it be worth my effort to remove the part, clean it off, pack it up, ship it to you and still ask less than a new part would cost? No, so I charge what I think it would be worth for me to do all of that in hopes that A. you just buy it new from Ford or B. it's worth my effort to do it.

Would you have felt better if he let you come over and you pull it then he charged you $20? You save $5, or did you?

Steve

i agree that midwest is expensive as hell, but in a pinch, youre basically garentee'd the part, especially if you cant find one in a salvage yard, or from a board member

supply and demand, if someone is willing to pay the price, theyll be willing to sell it for that price

Terry isn't hard to deal with, I have bought lots of things from him. If I didn't think the deal was good enough, I just went somewhere else, on the Cobra brake thing, he wanted more for a set of used front Cobra Brakes than I could buy what I got new for. Needless to say I got them from Crossroadzdirect new, for less than Terry wants for his used ones.
