Passing the Mustang along

Sorry guys, I might be selling my stang and buying a tricked out 03 RSX type-S. It comes complete with subs, body kit, and all those other goodies so its kinda hard to pass up a $25,000 car that hes selling with only 30000 miles on it for maybe under $20,000. Sorry but its just such an awesome car!

we wont hate you for changing cars,(as long as you keep postin here, plus show us some pics of the new ride) its all preference, plus I dont think I could pass up a deal either. You know what they say: If its a good deal, its like a sore dick, you cant beat it.

rxs-s's are pretty cool... i raced one and it beat me when i had my gears. It was a standard tranny, and had exhaust done to it... but theyre quick. Good luck man

Honda's....just add torque

the RSX is a great handling car, and are pretty decently quick...but they have no torque! it sucks

eh you really dont need torque anyways in that light *** car, be prepared for low 15's stock. my buddy had one(his dads now) and that thing was great. he bought it BRAND NEW off the showroom floor. that thing kicked 85% of the cars we came up against on the street. lost to a camaro once, and another type-s that was spraying. those cars look insanely agressive, like a dam shark from the front(if you get the one with the better kit). i love the interior too, its super comfy and smells great(sorry new car smell). however subs are gonna weight you down and you will feel the difference. they are great at handling, we took a turn by my house at 50 and not even a sound from the tires. and the 6spd, it was a blast to drive when he got drunk and i had to drive.

if i had 20g's id buy one in a heartbeat. put a 3" catback on it with a good aem intake and typer cams(i think they have them) and a dc header, and that thing will hit low 14's. get a vtec timer(set at 4.5k rpm) and a good tune and you will get into 13's i guarantee it. my freind had the 3" catback and the CAI, and it sounded great, just like my eclipse does, low moan and a high roar at WOT.

dude...thats way overkill on an N/A car, especially a stock/mild modded 4 cylinder

2.25-2.5 would be perfect on it, 3" is just rediculoud

as for torque, i dont care how much your car weighs, to get peak power at 7,000 rpms, you NEED torque, ive never seen a honda with an automatic be able to spin the tires from a stop, and ive never seen a honda rolling slow in first gear floor it and spin em, the cars dont have much power to motivate themselves untill they catch about 3,000rpms

i can get my dodge in the 13's for less than 500 bucks, lets see a honda do that

he went 3" so it didnt shound ghey like a normal honda.

and low 15's are what they run, there were 3 of them at the track last time i went, 2 were running 15.2-15.5 and a modded one was hitting 14.8.

tbird232ci you hang out with domestics a little too much, or you just dont live in cali to see real imports race. i could make a honda run 13's easily. 89 crx hatch, gut it(free) drop in a b18c5(last time i checked they were like 600 for the whole shibbang) and it will run 13's. but it will still look like crap, but be fast as hell. my freinds old crx(the car after his RSX-S, and before his tegra, he a honda boy) was piss yellow, **** was tore up inside, but had the zc engine swap, about 120-130hp. ran a 15.8 with the stock clutch from '89 that was slipping majorly. that thing was quick little bugger for what it was.

actually, 2 of my good friends have REAL imports...one has a 91 CRX Si, with a built B16a running 12.7's, all motor on street tires, and his brother has a GST Spyder that was deep in the 11's, he got kicked out of the track first run...both daily drivers...

and the dodge i speak of isnt a big RWD V8 car...its a 4 cylinder, fwd, 4 door econobox that just happened to have a 2.2L mated with a turbo...

i look at it this way, spend 500 dollars on exhaust in a honda, get 10hp...spend 500 dollars on exhaust, a boost controller, junkyard intercooler, an extra injector or 2, and go 13's

you have just become my best freind :thumbs2: , that was the whole reason to get the eclipse, and not a civic.

LOL! i have respect for quick imports, i just personally dont like Honda's because of the lack of torque, id like the be cruising in 3 gear, low RPM's, lay into it and actually move, ya know?

well...hey...we got something in common, Birds and turbo cars...

prolly cause insurance for a 98 cobra will be like 150 a month for him, rather than 60 bucks for a 4 banger that with a little mods, can go just as fast. hell i took a 98 cobra till he sprayed. theyre not that fast.

305hp(cobra) compared to 260hp(gt) stock for stock

My Insurance would be $300+ for a GT 98 and newer. I have a great driving record but I am only 18 and live in a rich part of the state.
