dyno & timeslip, both finally online

zim... got your PM, will return it soon. i am getting frustrated, not at you, just situatin.

----------------

2000 3.8 5spd

sae corrected, as stated / 77.8 deg F / 29.2% rel. humidity
from the look of it, my real max rwhp is 175-177 because the graph spikes because he shut down too soon. argh.

25% ud pulley
mac shorties (w/ custom exhaust leak)
gt dual exhaust, stock gt muffs
mac cai

other factors, though small:

8.8 w/ 4.10's
light 15x8 wheels

timeslip:

track conditions, about 65-70 deg.
race weight, with me: 3118lbs.
skinnies front, 26x8.5-15 slicks rear
MM LCA's
4 cyl front springs
mediocre subframe connectors

i am having trouble launching hard, then bogging and thus killing 60'/ET, etc.

imput, suggestions, or other comments welcome.

not too shabby, i thought this was your coolest mod: mac shorties (w/ custom exhaust leak)

that speaks for itself right there. and dude, if you rolled up next to me, id be scurred with those wheels making you look like a track car. it just looks badass. get rid of the striping though. and some of those jdm black headlights would look cool too.

eclipse guy, i removed those tan side stripes a couple months ago.

seph, they are factory rated at 190 crank hp. the dyno i used measures it at the wheels. i would make about 210 hp and 240 tq at the crankshaft.

You too??? lol, if it wasn't for installing them with the motor in the car mine probably wouldn't leak. I have just a slight flutter, really only hear it in the motors cold.

you need to get power under the hood. simple bolt-ons with slicks are not enough to push them. you will bog because you need hp.

i actually plan on putting my bird up on a dyno and on the track before i do any engine mods...just for kicks

what do you think a car wth 120hp and 215ft/lbs of torque (174K miles ago) would dyno with an automatic? think itll have 100 at the rear wheels?
