Hmmm what to do

My oldest daughter wants to buy my Cuda from me. I originally bought it for her, but she wanted a newer car. So I've been tinkering with it. Upgraded the brakes from all drums (10") to 12" rotors in the front and 11" drums in the back. Upgraded the suspension, added swaybars, KYB's HD torsion bars (front springs) and rear springs. Replaced the wimpy 7 1/4 rear axle with an 8 3/4, 3.55 gears limited slip. Still has the original 273 ci V8, I was building a hot 360 ci V8 for it, but I might just put the spare 318 I have in it.

Dunno if I want to part with it though. Guess the rice look doesn't do it for her, she wants a "musclecar", though a 1965 Cuda isn't one, it's what they used to call a ponycar.

Well, she drove our Neon for the first couple of years, then she got married and drove her husband's Lumina, it died and they currently have a Mitsubishi of some kind, a Mirage I think. You know, you look at it and you think it's a car till you get up close and realise it's a pile of crap, lol.

She learned to drive on my ex-cop car that's hotter than stock, so she misses RWD, V8's and torque, lol.

don't give her any classic vehicle unless she's over the age of 25

if she's 18 or older, give her something with some decent power, but don't go crazy on her

Good advice, however she is pretty responsible and a very good driver, I ought to know I taught her, lol. Anyway it'll be at least a year before it's ready for the road and she'll be doing most of the work, under supervision. So I suspect she'll be less "stupid" driving it than if I just handed her the keys with it all built up.

My 65 Cuda ain't much bigger than a Neon, though it's engine is at least twice as large. She's a good drive, already has a compact 4 banger, she want something to work on, which the Cuda needs.
