Talking Random Nonsense racing

I was with my bro heading to my grand parents to pick up some papers for my folks, around 3 o'clock so the local high schools just got out. I was driving with my bro in his 98 Monte Carlo LS or LZ or whatever it's called. 210 Horse power in a 3.8 engine, just like if you supercharged a 98 V6 stang. Um, so we installed a cold air intake in his car and he told me his engine sounds abit louder. So he reved his engine as we were sitting at a stop light. It did sound a little louder, but I noticed this honda (old honda) sitting next to us took notice to the reving. Some high school kid with his girl friend. I looked at his car casually, AEM logos on the side of it, but the car looked beat up. I looked at his dash best I could and saw one of those huge gauges on it. Next thing I know it goes green and my brother says, "Here listen to it.." and he guns it, the guy in the ricer guns it too. My brother went, "Oh **** he wants some of this?" and continues gunning it. The honda guns it as best it can, it almost sounded like he turbo charged his engine from the whirling noise that came from it. My bro said something like, "Was that turbo or was he using nitrous?"

We couldn't figure it out, but the guy gave up before we even hit 50. It was really really sad But funny as hell lol

turbocharged cars exhausts are way quieter than N/T cars. at least they are on 4bangers.

my cousins eclipse GS has a totally different exhaust tone than my GST. mine is throaty and roars when you hit it, his is all raspy and gargely(like gargling mouthwash) when he hits it. so more than likely, that car he raced was N/T(non turbo). and turbo civics are a waste, "lets spend upwards of 4grand on a turbo setup, when we could only run 9lbs of boost"(due to the hondas sleeved block design).

Yeah i know a guy that did that to a SOHC 4 door civic, hes got around $30k in the car he just ran a 9.9 at the 1/8 last week, which is sad for the about of money he has in it
