Got a new car, TONS of questions! *small DUW*

I got a Red 95 GT 5.0 Convertible 5 speed last week!
71,000 miles; $6200. I love it! (pictures below)

But first my questions!

Audio:
My car hass Mach 460 sound; I wanna put in a new headunit, and possibly 1 10" or 12" sub. know its a pain to replace the headunit (but CAN i with keeping the stock speakers?) and can I add a sub woofer? Also how do they sound in a convertible..? Good/not so good?

Suspension:
I wanna lower the car 1-1.5". I don't want to spend THAT much lowering it though. Do I need CC Plates? Will I have to buy new shocks/struts?

Visual:
Already swapped my cobra rims on from my 96 v6. Buying cobra headlights, and 96+ (black) tail lights. Either of these installs tough? And Charles, can you help me install a style bar if I buy one? Or shoudl I spend the extra $100 for a light bar? Also if you can't install them, where would I go? Ford?

Engine:
Everyone says 302 parts are cheap, so thats good! I'm probably gonna switch my spintech exhaust from my v6 to v8; and probably will do CAI and UDP. Any other good mods that I can do for a few hundred?

Maitnence:
The clutch makes a kinda loud click noise, and you can feel it clicking something when I put it all the way in. What is that? Clutch other than that feels fine, shifts good..what could that be?

Hopefully by the end of the summer my car will be great .
Thanks for your feedback, and here are the pictures: [I'll get better ones once the weather gets nice. Its been raining the past few days, and will rain for the next week or so here; kinda makes my convertible useless!]

I lowered my car with Eibachs. Looks like they will be able to get a good enough alignmenr without buying camber plates.

As far as the mach goes yes you can use a new headunit and keep your existing stock speakers. You will have to purchase a wiring kit that bypasses the amps to do this. AS far as the sub one 12 is about the max you can put in a very and keep space. It will sound pretty good. Not as good as a coupe though.

Get a Upper and Lower for your car. You can find those for a couple of hundred bucks easy

Nice car man have fun modding it

My sisters driving the six for now. If I bypass the amp with the headunit though, then won't the speakers lose all the power?

not that I know of. I dont know how it bypasses it but the wiring harness supposivley does it. If it was me I would just run new speaker wire from the head unit to the speakers and not use the factory wiring

good gt, looks sharp... as for the audio system, when i went to put in my xplod head unit when i got my v6, the idiots at circuit city said that they didn't know how exactly to get around the preamp... they said it was a 50/50 chance... personally, i think you can get a good deal on a complete new audio setup for your car. pioneer head unit, remove the preamp from the car, redo the wiring and put in polk momo component audio... the estimate i got at electronic express was 1000$ for EVERYTHING (minus sub and amp, cuz i didn't want them yet) installed... that's really not bad considering i wanted the 400$ pioneer head unit

i dunno, if you have the money, definitely think about redoing the entire car audio system. if not, then all you have to do is get the right size head unit (2 inches high) the mounting harness, and an install shop that knows what they're doing. they should be able to disconnect your preamp... just don't go to circuit city. find a place dedicated to car audio

again, very sweet gt

Circuit City and Best Buy suck. SUCK. Omg... They suck so hard. They are cheap. But you'd better hope they don't burn your car down. Ask them if the work order exempts them from fire damage.

Car audio shops are slightly better. But they are way more expensive.

I can vouch for that. With my first car they installed some retarded crossover that was plastic and when i installed a new cd player with more power it got so hot it started melting. Needless to say no one every installed a cd player in my car but me after that.

It was circuit city
