Unhappy Well.. she'll be in the shop for awhile... (Update June 1, Pics included)

On my way home from work I was getting off the exit from the freeway. All of a sudden traffic just started slowing down because the Highway Patrol just pulled someone over. I suddenly hear a screeching noise, someone slamming on their brakes. I look to my left to make sure I'm not going to get hit by whoever is doing it and then I look up and This car in front of me was already at a full stop from all the traffic and all. I slammed on the brakes and turned right into the emergency lane to avoid hitting him, but I slammed into the car, Jessica is all ****ed up in the front. I got smacked with the airbags, I put my arm out I guess and it got slammed against by the airbag. The other guy had insurance, he was ok his car's right bumper was hit and the back right wheel was stuck so he also had to wait for the tow-truck. I don't feel too well, I live a couple blocks away from the house and my dad was off of work so he came and picked me up. I feel really stupid.. I got pictures of it from a disposible camera, so pictures later..

not much else I can say except i'm sorry Jessica

In Cali if you rear-end someone it's automatically your fault. Why is his insurance paying for it?

what what? I must have said something wrong, I just commented on how he did have insurance. My insurance is paying for it, I can't call them and tell them about it because it's a holiday and no one is there

that sucks bro. sorry to hear that jessica has been tainted. but yeah its 100% your fault unless you can prove otherwise. but get ready to pay out big time. the insurance will rape you surcharge after surcharge. and then if they file a injury claim, its over.

you should hear my parents though, they are saying things like, "Well now your car won't have those scratches in the front now." And I said, "And I could put on a new hood, a new spoiler, and new headlights then." They didn't say anything but they knew that I'd rather get something good than stock if I had to put it all on there

lol dude i didnt even think of that. now you can get some better headlights ans stuff. just do it yourself if its within youre grasp of knowledge to repair the front end(it was a pita for my tbird, but i pocketed 600$) and you can get better parts off ebay and such for half of what they will give you an estimate for.

the estimate for the tbird was 1900.
i found the side fender for 300
the front bumper for 100
the headlight mounting panel for 200
and paint was 600.

i took the rest. but later they raped me for some 380$ surcharge so i kinda came out even.

im sure you can find replacement and upgrade parts for youre stang easier than i could for the tbird.

I should just tell the people to tell me what's wrong, what needs fixing.. if anything is wrong with the engine I'll throw on there the new pully, I think the CAI is fine, but if not I can throw on a new one easy. Everything else we'll have to see though. Performance wise is what I'm mainly concerned about.

damn it.. I was looking at Digital Cameras to buy at work before this stupid accident. Guess I know where my money is going now... it pays to save money though so you're still covered through **** like this.

well youre insurance is gonna do an estimate, then if you decide to fix it yourself theyll give you a list of parts and a total of what those parts cost. then go from that.

well man I am truly sorry for your loss here, but imagine if there was a MAC truck in front of you and then a car behind you and you would be like a accordian and typing on your keys with a breathing tube straw....

But glad you are ok, Jessica can be cloaned with wonderful genetics of today it should be no problem, you most likely will be living at home till your like 35 or so...

It does look like you may have some frame damage as charles said, but alot of cosmetic damage too that I see, those damn air bags are like 3g's in replacement.

Much luck to you my friend....

yeah I know.. it'd be another mustang.. my dad was commenting on getting another car if the car was too screwed up to do anything to it. I mentioned a 2000 or 2001 V6 and he seemed up for it.. It needs to be laser red like Jessica, a 460 mach speaker system and I'll be ok with it.

holy shat dude, your car is jacked up. yeah its totaled. that sucks big balls. you made it sound like a little fender bender, thats some frame damage right there, youd need more money than the car is worth to fix it, thus its totaled.

ill keep my eyes open for a laser red 6er around here. shouldnt be too hard to find.
