that's why I love my V6 so much. It's SOOOOO easy and roomy to work on, especially when it comes to cam swaps and the such. I think the only thing I hate is that #6 spark plug. If my last cam swap would have went smoother, then it only would have taken, 8 hours maybe. But nooooo, that damn harmonic bolt had to be stuborn as a mule. So it ended up taking like 10 hours.

# 6 is a bastard to say the least. But having wobble sockets is a blessing.

And finally not to mention all the crap with GM computers, but that's another story.
in the LS1 cars, id love to disagree with you on that. Ever hear of a program called LS1 edit? you basically plug a cable into the test port, upload the cars info, do whatever you want with the codes, change fuel curves, shift points, turn off functions like EGR, the rear O2 sensors, move the rev limiter, anything you want, all with the stock computer, no chips, no burns, nothing

2 days = easy to work on? I don't think so Tim. I can remove and replace the heads on my Mustang in less than one day, with it running too. I hate new cars, too much crap in too small a bag. Now my 65 Cuda, ah there is a simple car to work on.
we actually could have had it done in one day if we really wanted to, we worked 11-5, and took a long lunch break both days, and still had time to spare, the actual work was a breeze, just gotta know what youre doing

just dont ask me to work on a LT1, ill laugh at you

Well I wasn't really talking about that, I was mainly talking about the black boxes that GM has installed on their cars and all that other crap to where you have to go to a GM dealer to clear certain codes.

A head swap in one day is nothing, all you need is a good friend to get one side and you'll be golden. What kinda engine swap are you doing?

Yes, too bad Mopar doesn't even build a car to put a Hemi engine into anymore. Sad.

?

You can buy a car from Mopar with a Hemi in it right now. Two of them in fact.

You're in MD, I'm in west Texas. That's a long way to go for an engine swap. It ain't like I'm Roush or someone extra special. Well my wife calls me extra special when I annoy her and it ain't a compliment.

Swapping the engine isn't the hard part, it's all the ancillary crap that'll get you if you don't know all the details. Since I am not a Ford guy, learning, I'll pass. Now if you wanted a Hemi in place of your slant six I could do that no sweat.

the wiring and whatnot is pretty much a breeze, other than 2 plugs under the dash which is a cut and splice deal, other than that, and fuel lines, itll be a pretty direct swap

so it wont be much different than a slant 6 to hemi swap
