Hate to break it to you guys, but most of the people in this country wouldn't be able to tell those states apart on a map, let alone find differences in intellectual capacity between the people in AL and MS.

I dont understand why Bama gets picked on so much.

Huntsville, AL is one of the nicest cities I have been to. We compete with Silicon Valley for Technology, when dont have outrageous taxes, the schools in our area are niceer than most in the country.

Sure Alabama has alot of bad places but so does almost everyother state.

I know what it is.

When your watching the news and they are covering something in Alabama they always find the Redknecks and the people that cant count pass ten to interview.

When people watch the news and see this the assume Alabama as a whole is like that.

Believe me it happens

Sad but true. But Bama and the Deep South ain't the only ones getting picked on. Growing up, we picked on (still pick on) West Virginia for being inbred, toothless, and poor. But it has some of the most gorgeous mountain country you will ever see. And the people there mostly have teeth.

And here in New England, NH picks on MA for being socialist jackasses; MA picks on everone else for not being MA. VT tried to shove Dean on the rest of us.

It's kinda funny being from the deep south and MS though. Everytime I travel somewhere, people are always asking me where I'm from and to repeat stuff cuz they can't believe I actually talk like them lol. My friends accuse me of being Northern most of the time
