OK well I have not seen the video but lets be real when people are going up for the ball they are not aware of anyone around them and usually there is a pile-up of people trying to get it. In the excitment of having a good chance of getting it he just dove in and took it.

In saying what I did I must bring up the fact that after he realized he took it from a 4 year old and he should have just gave it to them instead of waiting to be made a village Idiot in front of entire city BY GOD

You have never been after a box of moonpies at Mardi Gras Have you. when you are gradding for it you really see no one just hands and elbows. Like I said I dont agree with what he did but in the act of grabbing the ball he really was fixated with the ball and keeping people away not who he was keeping por pinning back It is called adrenaline rush. it in a instant makes people otherwise nice do incredibly stupid things

yeah, I actually have been to Mardi Gras. Twice actually. And while I can't say that I have been after a box of Moonpies, I have experienced an "adrenaline rush" but never to the point of pinning some 4 year old kid to a seat while his mother beats me with a piece of cardboard. Especially not for a baseball that wasn't anything special.

Living 7min from the Ballpark, it was all over tv here. that man did literally jump over the seats and hold the kid back just to get the ball. he was fully aware of what he was doing. He has no soul and deserves to burn in hell.

Wonder how many other people in that Stadium got a autograph that didnt have a 4 Year Old Son Pinned Against his seat on Live Telivision, have the Announcer call him a Jerk, Replay it over and over on the big screen, have your mom beat the guy over the head with a cardboard box, and then have the guy walk out of the Stadium with the ball.

Only after all that happened did he get the ball, which he should have.

No where did I say all MLB baseball players are like that. But the majority are.

That was a situation where the 10 million people watching the game and your mom expected the team to give the kid something

They showed it on TV last night. I think he just acted in the spur of the moment...but it took him way too long and way too much media coverage to realize he had made a mistake and regress...oh well now he is know all over the country as a big A-hole...I'm sure he now knows the stupid ball wasn't worth all of that.

Living in Dallas, it's been on the news over and over and over again. Seen it on ESPN many times as well. I can understand that he may have gotten excited about the ball and went a little nuts. I don't condone his action but can understand up to that point. But to not give up the ball and act like such a smug idiot afterwards really pisses me off. They had the local announcer go up and talk to the guy in the stands and he didn't think he did anything wrong. I think it's pretty funny that every TV station around kept trying to call the guy out to make a comment and justify his action. Even funnier that the baseball players dogged the guy. Good to see that he's sending the family the ball and tickets to a game. He's still a d***head for taking so long to do this.

it reminds me of a hockey game here in Austin where I was on the second row and was watching the play on the ice. a loose puck came over the glass and was heading right towards a mother of 2 4&6ish yr olds who was reading a book and not paying attention. I jumped from my seat and slapped the puck down as it was within a foot of smashing her head. The puck fell down and one of the kids grabbed it raising it in the air like he caught it Sometimes I wonder if I should have let it bounce off her head and into my hands , It "was" the innaguaral season and all pucks were collectors items
