just hold ur breath. It'll help get rid of the hiccups. and if u hold it long enough, you will die. or at least pass out.

I had the hiccups all day today too.

I'm sure your hiccups are over by now, but in the future try to inhale as much as possible and hold it for as long as possible, but exhale and inhale again before you pass out. Just keep doing this until it goes away.

My silly theory: When you hiccup, you inhale some air. If your lungs are already full of air, a hiccup would either explode them, or just hurt a ton. Now your body doesn't want that, right? So you won't hiccup, and it shortly goes away.
Real reason has to do with some muscle being tickled and you need to relax it. You can also drink water, different things work for different people.

someone told me that it was to help regulate the PH balance of your blood or something or other, i cant remember
