I just read that GM pulled their Buick Enclave? and Cadillac CTS from the LA show because of their financial problems and has put the Camaro on hold again until they can get in a better financial position and begin making profits. Ditto for the Challenger convertible. It was also mentioned that GM was going to sell their AC delco parts div. Getting pretty hairy in the car business but looks like there will be a 2010 Mustang
if they're putting the Camaro on hold... would they be taking orders?
The Camaro convertible for sure. The Challenger has to come up with a whole new platform if they want a convertible and they don't have that kind of money now.
I even heard the 7th Generation Corvette is on hold as far as a new design.
Ford seems to be in the lesser of all evils as far as $$$ goes.
they need to chunk the camaro. the worst attempt at retro design if i ever saw one. i love stangs but hands down, chrysler did their homework on the challenger. its a effin sweet car.
I predict that the Camaro won't be around too long if it ever gets off ground. Like I previously said they are halting the Camaro convertibles but nothing was said about the Camaro coupes that will have the same CTS V-6 engine as a base motor. The Challenger now that is a hot car I wouldn't mind having one of those SRT-8 models.
But if you want to get a Challenger in a convertible you will have to wait till they redesign the platform as it wasn't made with a convertible in mind and they don't have that kind of $$$ right now to do that.
