It's not pratical in the states to begin with, because if your power steering went out, you'd have to wait until you got the new part from Australlia.

Your talking about rebuilding the front end. Changing the master cylinder, steering, hydrallic pedals, dashboard, heater, ect.

Not for your daily driver.

however much we still love mustangs, we still know theyre not the fastest thing in the universe. besides, how many supercharged stangs do you run into on the street? not much, cause most owners think that its a V8, its the **** and needs nothing else. or at least the ones i know of. i rarely see modded 99+, prolly cause theyre still making big *** payments. rick's GT on here is prolly one of the most modded 99+ ive seen.

no offense to anyone though. i still want a dam 94-04 GT, always will. unlike most i see around here, itll be stock for about a week. id only get one if i had the wallet to put about 6G's into a nice Vortech S-Trim, Cobra internals, beefier tranny internals, and all the goodies that one could think of.

there aren't as many parts available for the mod motors yet like there are parts for the pushrod motors. Almost everyone that I know with a fox body stang is supercharged though.

^until you put full exhaust and a bulletproof rear end on, along with a chip to bring out the full power of the xr6... then it'd be pretty close again... and if not, there's always P&P work...

i dunno, i've heard that there ARE mustangs (svt cobras) in australia, and that they make around 450RWHP. the only difference is supposedly the exhaust and the tune... i dunno how much truth is behind that though

still, australians get some nice vehicles that we don't get to see... too bad import price and conversion is so expensive

Y'all assume Ford has reasons of it's own to not import the Falcon.

GM does the same thing and when there was a Chrysler of Australia they did it too.

It is because of one thing, the US government. EPA, DOT, NHTSA, CAFE, etc.

BTW, left hand drive cars are legal to drive in Australia, no need to convert anymore.

it might only run a 14.3 in the 1/4, but imagine how it handles, imagine the ride quality, imagine the fuel economy...makes up for it

also, as already mention, slap a free flowing exhaust on it, intake, slap a manual boost controller on there, bump it to the boost cutout (i know many cars are a 1-bar setup, and cutout is around 14.7), and you could have a solid 13 second car, and the comfort and handling of a BMW

38,000? i think thats aurstailias MSRP price, not ours. of course it would be alot to get one shipped here, might as well get a skyline if you would be willing to fork over 40,000 for something imported.

Which I am glad for since most cars like the Falcon and Skyline are not up to par like our cheapo cars are. Alteast our Cavi'sand Escort's can withstand a 5MPH bumper collision and the windshields won't shatter all over you.

The guy's, who's Mustang I posted, had it done because "it didn't feel right."
