Sad news

The bronco is gone. Got the last of the money for it last night.

After 5 years of ownership, it is time to say goodbye.

Two pictures to remember her by.
How she looked when I bought her in Nov 2003. (roughly, stickers and tag werent there)

And Dec 2008

So she may be gone. But it has gone to another 4x4 enthusiast. So hopefully it will give him and his family many hours of enjoyment.

Re: Sad news

Sad day for sure. So I am guessing you are going to get started on the ranger now?

Re: Sad news

no there is no plan on buying a jeep.

Well later down the road, hopefully i can get some of the projects I want to get done on the ranger started. But not much, since part of the reason for the broncos selling is lack of extra funds for toys and projects. I have finally convinced my wife to get an HDTV so I am not pushing my luck with the bit of extra funds we do have.

I am hoping in about a year to get an 80-85 yota. Or if i get some decent money for a new project a 66-77 bronco.

Re: Sad news

go for the old bronco...there are a ton of parts out there in the aftermarket as well as the salvage yards. The years you're looking at are some good looking trucks that can be built to take anything, or be more of a show truck, or both

Re: Sad news

yeah there are a ton of aftermarket support for the EBs, but the problem with them is they are expensive. to find one in a good shape is costly, and parts are costly. That is one reason I am thinking of the early 80s yotas.

Re: Sad news

You could always consider an old nissan hard body. Those are strong little trucks and easy to come by.
