Did this ever take place

In the program, managed by Tinker's C/KC-135 Management Directorate and accomplished by Boeing Aircraft, Wichita, Kan., the four current Pratt & Whitney TF-33 engines are to be replaced by the F108 engine, which also powers the KC-135R.

Ya, the F-108s are replacing the TF-33's Not all of them, but I believe by 2008 are that are subject for the new engines, are suppose to be done by then. That what I was asking about on the RC's We currently have a few back with the new engines and let me tell ou how nice it is with new engines. The J-57 water burning engines sucked and then when they got replaced with the TF-33s those engines just sucked from the begining, but these F-108s are almost maintenance free and actually are contracted still so no work for us. On the TF-33's we used to re-skin the engine Aft Sleeve because the Aluminum would go from 2024-T3 to W. You could just bend it over with one finger. And the Thrust reversers on them cause more damage than anything.

Dude the ones we had were the J-57 water burners. OMG the AirForce said they would leave them on. Originally we took them off but I remember that we put them back on. Those engines are a pain in the ***.

The F-108 is a much better engine to say the least.

Ya the clamshell TR's is what I'm talking about were the two clamshells come together and channel the air forward to help slow the aircraft down. I think I changed about a 100 or so of them damn seals.

No I meant Pat as in Patriot missile system. THAAD Theater High Altitude Area Defense is a Lockheed Martin Missile. So who do you work for????

UnitedTechnologies Corp. Chemical Systems Division, Rockwell
International's Rocketdyne Division, Westinghouse Marine
Division, Litton Data Systems Division, Loral Infrared &
Imaging Systems, Honeywell Space Systems Group, Lockheed
Sanders, Rocket Research and Phase IV

Has to be one of these I am thinking Rocketdyne or Rockwell

I still think you meant PAC-3 as in Patriot Advanced Capabilities.

I work for none of the above. I work for a pretty new company that is based in Dallas and here in Huntsville. Intuitive Research and Technology. I got here right as we began work on LIOS and RRAPDS.

I knew I was right. You knew what you are talking about though.

Intuitive made the list of top Hispanic owned companies in the U.S. and was nominated (no final votes yet) for Small Business of the Year.

watching some of these videos, I'm still in awe with some of the stuff we are able to do.

Airborne.. I was thinking advanced. good thing I didn't guess that then.

RRAPDS= Remote Readiness Asset Prognostic/Diagnostic System.

Basically, the green suits want a missile canister that is unnattainable, lol. They want linear accelerometers to record massive amounts of data implanted in the canisters to tell them exactly what happens to the missile when/if dropped or jarred in the canister. But these accelerometers can't be on the missile, they have to be in the canister. And what happens to the canister doesn't necessarily happen to the missile. And even if it did, the missile is multiple components. They want to know if this happens to one end of the missile, what happens at the other end?

That question is about as answerable at this point as dropping a 10lb weight and quantifying the effects of the weight and its impact with the earth's on the weight of people in China. Sure, maybe it would have some effect, but how do you quantify that? No way right now.

They also want to be able to walk into a bunker with an interrogator (equipment, like a PDA), and wirelessly download all this data from multiple missiles and go check it out elsewhere. Problem is, they want to make sure that only people who are allowed to access this info are able to access it. And another problem is that these signals are possibly significant enough to set off older, less technologically advanced ordnances. Which would lead to us killing soldiers. And we can't have that.

I found some vids. These must be unclassified, I found them on the internet

This has intercepts and test vids from all sorts of BM programs. THAAD and PAC-3 are what I work on. PAC-3 is under PATRIOT in here. These are all pretty old videos. I don't know where they keep the newer ones, hehe.

2 good ones are
PATRIOT Intercept Test 14 OCT 2000
and
THAAD June 10, 1999.
