Southern Economy Best in the Country

http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,125521,00.html

But according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics (search) the South has the lowest unemployment rate in the country — 5.0 compared to the national average of 5.6

Damn I am glad I live in GODS COUNTRY!!!!

damn, i've had such a horrible time finding a decent paying job i couldn't imagine trying in a harder region. of course it being a college town is about 75% of that.

i used to be a city boy. i was raised in NY/NJ/PA, CA, and then we moved to Texas. i'm now some sort of crossbred ****kicker/cityslicker. it just depends who i am around. one things for sure... wherever i live i'll be a TEXAN on the inside... technically i WAS born here!

Good for you!!!! I sure hope you like where you live because if you did not that would suck ***

Dont hate the South, You have friends down here!!

I did not start this thread to post hate. I am proud of the Souths ability to change and grow without the boundries or influences that stifle or repress business or commerce.

Notice how the rabble rousers are from SC? Some things never change do they, lol.

I live in West Texas, pretty much on the edge of the desert. I work in Austin. I can feel the difference in humidity.

I love the south myself and a note for one, racists are everywhere not just the south.

I bet when I get rich I move back to Alabama, i know I will at least be in the SE. No place better.

Yes, racists are everywhere. And, contrary to popular belief, people who aren't white can be racist too

i love Texas, i can't imagine living anywhere else. If for nothing else but the food lets see in the past two years I have been to New York, Washington DC, Herndon VA, Waterbury CT, Atlanta GA, and I am presently in Chicago and the food has sucked in each place.

Man the food here is awesome. I've never been to Texas (unfortunately I haven't met many Texans who are easy to be around... lol) so I can't compare.

I can comment on NY (you have to know where to eat there...), DC (sucked!), and ATL (sucks!).

Maybe my job will take me to Texas at some point. We're based there.
