It's not exactly like that.

the diet does make sense. For a very small age group. It is potentially harmful outside of the target group of people.

Is it me or has this low carb craze gotten out of hand? Seems like it was only a few years ago that people were talking about "carbing up" before they excercised or something. Now carbs are bad...bad,bad,bad! What's next?

I luv carbs, they are in anything that tastes good and besides they are a main source of energy. I say just have a balanced diet that includes everything from proteins to carbs to fat and excersise at least 3x a week and you'll be OK....coke c2 sucks it tastes like coke with no sugar.

My dad has to count them. He's diabetic. I'm used to all this no-carb stuff. And Diet Dr. Pepper is the only thing that tastes the same. And with the C2, I think it's 23 carbs, and that's half a snack or 1/3 a meal for my dad.

All this low barb BS does is alow your body to eat at your muscles. All this Atkins stuff is gonna bottom out one day. You never see a body builder on a low carb diet.

I eat what I want, when I want and as much as I want. The company doc tells me I'm about 35 pounds over what's "idea". I told him he looks like stick boy.

The company doc gets on my *** for smoking. I told him to drop it.

The company doc gets on me cause my cholesterol is borderline.

I finally told the company doc to stop it or else. His job is to make sure the company isn't killing me. Not to ride my *** over my personal choices. and as long as he looks like stick boy and I look like a defensive lineman I'll win that argument.

After seeing what my dad went through, I'm starting to watch what I eat more. Before his was diagnosed (sp?) he lost 50 pounds in 5 days, just about lost his vision, going to the bathroom all the time.

I don't like it, but my gf LOVES it. She has a very odd taste for food tho. Like she doesn't like ketchup, mustard, or any other kind of condiments or sauces on her food

I used to not like ketchup or any of that. I used to be real picky about my food.

Growing up, and having to buy my own **** changed that, lol.

You know what bothers me most about this low carb stuff, is that people just don't want to go out there and work out anymore. I mean how hard is it to do 100 crunches a day, 5 sets of 20, and maybe run half a mile or even walk, that alone will most likely keep you in pretty good shape. Another thing I love when people say "oh I don't eat breakfast I want to lose weight" ARGGG that pisses me off. Doesn't anyone take basic health classes anymore, it's a simple proven fact that if you eat breakfast even like 1/4 of a bagel it will jump start your metabolism and help you lose weight by doing nothing. Remember your body using caleries to create energy and it uses that energy to live. So just by living and giving your body the energy it needs in the morning you can burn an extra 500 caleries I think is what is was by just living.

Let's see, I've been running for about a year now I can run 1.25 miles and barely break and sweat and not lose my breath.

And one week I also added 900 crunches everyday, 18 sets of 50. And then went outside to lift weights.

I am so close to not being the fat kid anymore!

That's another thing as far as weight training goes you shouldn't work out everyday. Running, if you want to build stamina than yes almost everyday but leave about 2 days out of the week to rest like run monday and tuesday rest on wednesday, run on thurs. and friday rest on saturday and so on. Crunches everyday aren't that great for results either. Ask any athlete and that's the perspective I'm trying to give, your body needs some kind of rest to rebuild and build up the muscle you are trying to create.

Sooner or later someone will be saying all food causes cancer. Based on lab experiments where they gave some rats 1000x the normal dosing of each type of food or chemical.

I've built up from it over a course of 3 years. Hasn't been overnight.

That's good, you're doing it the correct way. You'll get better results and you won't get hurt as easily

i love all this low carb crap, low carb is the lazy mans way of losing weight, people think i started doing the low carb stuff, because i droped weight fast, i cut back on food i was eating, which was twice the amount my body needed, and i became more active

is that what a diet is all about?
