I'd be interested, at least in reading it

It's something I've considered.

It's not too difficult. You get a power inverter and wire it up like an amp. The thing to focus on is the fiberglass work involved in making it look clean. Like removing the glove box and housing the PS2/XBox there.

The either having a fold down TV from the headliner or buying the LCD screen headunit and placing the other screen in the trunk lid for car shows.

Hope yours turn out real good. Last one I saw was 3 inches thick and was covered with sub box carpeting that looked like a cat attacked it.

its all completely removable. i drive into boston ocasionally so i can take everything out xbox simply un plugs and the cords sit under the floor mat.. and with the visors up its not like youd know there were tv's in em. everything is hidden. so im all set. i dont park my car with the top down so there no problem. i specifically designed it so i could easily take it out for that exact purpose. and im also not going to carpet mine, thinking bout paint with red to match the interior accents or black possibly flat.

and an in dash lcd .. a good one is upwards of 1200. and all you can do with those is watch movies.. for 500 i can play games, watch movies, and i have two screens, and i am able to keep the 6 disc in dash. couldnt justify the extra 700 for so much less.

Even though I don't have the $$ right now, I would like to see those instructions for future reference...I already have the x-box all I would have to buy is the screen and everything else. The heat gets unbearable here in florida. Do u think the heat would ruin my X-box?

I've seen an indash with a PS2 under the front seat with carpet covering it, holes cut nicely so you could reach down there to swap games and all. Oh, I would get a PS2 to put in there too, this way you could get the gaming system and a DVD player without having to buy the stupid Xbox DVD playback thing.

I have a PS2 though.

seph what do you mean a ps2 is easier to play dvd with? my freind had one and half the DVD's he bought dont even work on it. you still have to buy the remote and the dvd options screen is all stupified, where the xbox is still the best dvd player on the market, and is easy as 123, put in dvd, press play and eject when done. ps2 he had to do like 20 different things.

but yeah i dont know about putting all that **** in a drop top though. im still iffy about where to mount a afcr when i get one, i think itll go in my console storage thingy so nobody sees it but its easily accesable. other than that i gave up the idea for now of taking out the back seat to expose 2 12" typr r's in a custom fiberglass box that takes up what used to be the back seat, because im afraid of someone jacking my ****. i live in cali, its only a matter of time.

EclipseGSTdude, he probably has an older version of the PS2. And it's through the Xbox where you have to buy the remote and such. The PS2 you just put the DVD in there and you can play it with your controller. You might have options in the begining with parental controls because it IS a kid's toy to a lot of people.

Jacking ****? Living in Cali? It's probably going to get stolen. That's why I don't put anything valuable in my car

I have a PS2 from the first shipment into the U.S.

but, it ain't worth a damn thing now. A lot of the laser readers on the earlier PS2s had problems. Of course they all lasted past warranty, but now most all of the earlier ones won't read blue backed PS2 discs, and a lot won't read silver backed discs (most PS2 games and DVDs).

Mine happens to still work fine... *crosses fingers* lol

I have heard that PS2s don't do too well in cars, but my friend has one in his Montero, and it does fine.

There is nothing you have to buy for a PS2 to play DVDs. I like the way it works. Put in the DVD and it takes you to the menu, unless you've only enabled discs with a certain region or enabled parental control. When you wanna change chapters and whatnot can get confusing in the middle of the movie.
