haha im the only one who went SRT4. no offense, but i dont really like the classics except 69. 67-68 and 70-73 are ok looking, but 69 they really got it right. 64.5-66 just dont look right to me in comparison to the later years. its like a pre-pubescent version or something. but sonic blue rawks and will look good fo sho.

im going with the 64 because im going to be buying a classic mustang as well besides they are awesome. who cares what he thinks of ur car his car might say srt4 but all in all its still a fkin neon. Coupes can look real good if done right and they weight less then fastbacks but I agree tbird; fastbacks just look great

people actully think you 64 coupe is an eleanor? i got a 65 fastback, red with white racing stripes, a gt 350 look alike. 289 hi po, better cam, edelbrock performer intake and carb. all the good stuff..a 65 fastback is slightly closer to eleanor but still miles away. just goes to show you how people really dont pay attention to details.

it doesn't bother me so bad when ppl just don't pay attention, it's when they open their mouths and try to act intelligent about something they have little to no knowledge of.

I voted SRT4. I had a Neon, nice handling car and the SRT4 handles better. I like MoPars, I like handling cars, I like turbos, and I like 30+ mpg. If it was a 2 door and RWD I'd own one now.

As it is, I own a Mustang. A V6 one too. Guess MPG rules for now. Of course I have two V8 powered MoPars to play with so it ain't all bad. I like my Stang, but I don't love it.

IMO I think Neons are for ****, and girls. That just my opinion. And plus how can you compare a Neon to a Mustang? That not even close to apples and oranges, that's more like peas and oranges.

My advise to you is this, don't make this statement to my face.

How can I compare a Neon to a Mustang? Simple, I've owned both, base models versions similarly equipped.

My Neon will outhandle my Mustang. I like that.

My Neon will get better mileage than my Mustang, I like that too.

My Neon was much cheaper than my Mustang too, I like that.

My Mustang has two doors, I like that.

My Mustang is RWD, I like that.

My Mustang was easier to get out of than my Neon, till I dropped it. Being an old fart I don't appreciate the step up out of the Neon, or my Mustang, but I live with it.

The reason I don't still own the Neon is because some butthead in an F150 totalled it out, The Mustang replaced it.

I wonder, have you ever even driven a Neon?

Well, sure looks are a point of choice. But that is subjective and unquantifiable in any meaningful sense. After all there are some here who think the 99+ stang is better looking, they are wrong of course

Every car has it's good points and it's bad points and some of those points are purely emotional.

Well i'm not trying to call you out, but you see the car a different way. You may be more bias to Mopar as I am to Ford, but I also see cars as a performance machine, you may also but I can never leave a car stock. Now I don't know anything about your car(s), but if your neon handled better than your mustang, that must be some awesome neon because my mustang handles no none other. Price and gas mileage I can understand, but usually a 4 cylinder will always get better gas mileage if drove correctly or pampered. But this is why I would choose a mustang over a neon:

My mustang has quite the potential and after market

My mustang sounds better driving down the street
( I can't stand that high pitched sewing machine mufflers)

My mustang has a better/wider wheelbase and is RWD

Mustang's are in general Classy cars and an American Icon

Neon's are usually driven by punk-a$$ kids

That's all I can think of now, and I'm at work so I'll reply more later.

Well, my Neon was stock, my Mustang is almost stock, it has a 2" drop, other than that it's stock. Both are 96's. Mods throw things out the window. BTW, there is a fairly large Neon aftermarket that is more than just bling, not as big as the Mustang market though. As for the exhaust sound, subjective, but I hate hearing any exhaust noise. Though I'd prefer a rumble to a farting bumblebee. A loud car just calls attention to yourself. My "hotrod" copcar is dead silent, but packs a mean punch. I like sleepers, which the Mustang really isn't, even stock. The Neon can be if you ignore the rice add ons in your quest. A four door undercover cop car sedan is the ultimate sleeper, next to a station wagon.
