Need a new car

I think I may get a new car here soon and trying to figure out what I want. I am looking at the new Acura TSX, BMW 3 series or used 5 series, Benz C series, Audi A4, or possible used Jag. What do y'all suggest? Pros vs. Cons on each... I am looking for obviously something luxurous for around $30,000

Wait a year and pick up one of the newly designed 3-series. Pretty tight looking.

The job that I am trying to get gives a monthly car allowance of $550/mo for car and gas and milage and what-not. So I would be using that for another car payment

I'm on a mustang site because I used to own a V6 mustang and I have made friends with most of the people on here. Plus I am a moderator, so I still do my duties and post here

I've always dreamt of getting an old Pinto with about 7 different colors of body panels, and droppin in some ridiculous power. A pinto running a sub 10 sec. 1/4. But, then again, I'm a crazy A-hole thats addicted to speed.

I love speed cars as well, but this job will need me to have a luxury car. Plus, I already have a pretty quick car

A cool car is a cool car. Just saying you are asking Mustang Enthusiasts. It's cool that you still post and such even though your a turncoat (a little more humor there...don't take me too seriously)

Personally if the Mustang is not a choice the Benz is definately a classy one.

You could probably find a nice pre owned S4 with low, low miles on it for about 30k

This is very interesting. Here at Lockheed the Top Executives dont drive expensive luxury cars. They drive Grand Cherokees, Xterra's. I am not sure where you work but anyplace that puts emphasis on the car you own as a status is a pile of crap. Considering most Executives drive rented Taurus's when they travel HAHHAHAHAHHAHAHHAHAHA

Hell there is on Program executive that drives a Honda CRX SI.

I dont buy in the Car will make you look more professional. That is Shallow!!!
Take the 550 and pay off your car you currently have.

shiiiiiieeet... Everytime I go to outside to smoke a cigarette at work, I glance over to the executive parking garage of Boeing. It's like a ****ing car show... I see a Ferrari, 2 Vipers, and then a row of all kinds of random **** that vary from a BMW 7 series to Mercedes SL500. I don't think there is a single car on there that is under $40K.

And that is why Boeing has had so many problem with Corporate Ethics, Stealing competitors proprietary information, Hiring Government Officials that help them win contracts which is all against the law. Not to mention all those executives making jumbo salaries all the while Boeing has laid off over 30,000 employees. They were the #1 Commercial Aircraft company and now they are number 2 behind European Airbus

OH our President of our sector drives a Porsche Boxer and his VP drives a Audi. There are a few vetts but mostly SUVs and trucks. We do have probably 20 Stangs here though. Actually most of the Lexus, Infinity, Acura and BMW owners here are wannabees and are part of the general labor force

One of our top execs drives an 03 cobra, but he's a mustang guy and has bought a new cobra every few years.

Chrysler 300C

340 hp Hemi

Luxury and performance.

Or if 340 hp ain't enough the SRT8 version is coming soon, 80 more HP.

They're not forcing me to buy a new car. That is on my own accord. I just feel that since I am 22 (but look about 17-18), pulling up in an EVO won't be the best thing for first impressions. I believe it will send an "immature, still-a-kid" vibe. And since I will be in medical supply sales, I have to give the best impression possible at all times. Especially with the physcians and patients. I doubt they will want to ride in the evo if I need to chauffer people around.

I am also looking at Honda Accords and Nissan Maximas to save a little money. I just want something that when I pull up I don't get the question "why did you buy that car?" (which has happened to me on a lunch interview.)

Oh, power isn't that important to me. I already have a fast car and this will be for daily driving when I am putting ~150+ miles on it each day. I just want an automatic, smooth riding car for all the driving I will be doing.

Monkey,
I sell Lincoln LS's here at the dealership and I think they are just as nice as a 325 or 330- BMW. Mercedes are not for me and for the money, personally, i Audi or volvo wouldn't be the right choice either. Lincoln LS is a lot of car for the money AND you can get good deals on them. The Ford 500 or Mercury Montego coming out very soon would also be a great choice. lots of interior room, upscale looking and good gas mileage. As far as what people drive at the dealership, My General Manager drives an 04 SVT Cobra Convertible with the Mystichrome Package! We even add a led light bar and bassani exhaust to all of his cobra demos! Hows that for a free ride!

If you want a used BMW you would do good to come to Greenville. They build BMW's here and all the people who work there get a car to lease for cheap but the deal is the locla BMW dealer gets tem afterwards and BMW's can be had cheap. I do not lie. This is BMW world here.

id say lincoln LS v8 with the clutchless five speed. the thing hauls *** my moms got one. black on black with tinted windows.. but shes had it for maybe a year and has probably driven it for a total of 4 months it has been in the shop more times then i can count with electrical problems. this may be an individual problem but its definately not a plus for my view of them.
if you wanna make an impression, instead of getting a car get a landrover. those things are nice. and classy. or you could get a newer volvo s40 turbo. classy and a speed demon. mazda 6's run bout 30k new. you can get a well dressed 2001 545 for bout 28-30 round here.

LandRover suck. They are near the bottom of all the Consumer and auto publications in total quality

Go to J D Powers and Associates site and see how they rate landrover
