Those are really nice tables.. Im sure you know that though if you are interested in buying a set.

But anyway, I have bought a few things online from http://www.pssl.com/ they usually have some pretty good deals... If you dont mind ebay, you can check on there too for some decent deals... Technics are usually around the same price any where you look, because they dont really give distributors all that good of a deal on them either...

My setup consist of a Pioneer DJ-909 Mixer, 2 Technics 1210MK5, Stanton TM2RS4 Cartridges, Numark CDN-90 Dual CD Player, M-Audio Audiophile 2496 Soundcard (For Recording Mixes), Yamaha EMX68S Powered PA Mixer, Yamaha MG12-4 12-Channel Mixer, plus a few misc toys and gadgets such as headphones, speakers, mics, power amplifier, etc... Im in the market to buy a set of SL-DZ1200 CD Turntables and another 909 mixer soon, plus a Roland MC-909 Groove Box.

Tachnics will always be the leader in the DJ world... They are some of the fastest tables ever made, and thats why "Scratch Dj's" use them... I have had a pair of the older ones and they are great... You will be just as happy with a set of the newer 1200's...

They are worth the money if you are serious bout DJing, and they are great tables for beginners to learn on too.

I used to Dj a lot of weddings, and that helped me pay for my equiptment...

I started out on a set of Gemini tables and a Numark battle mixer, the tables were slow and made it hard to pull off some of the harder scratches. So, you kinda get what you pay for.

You might look around in some of the pawn shops in your area, Im not sure if Djing is a big thing in your city... Dj's are a dime a dozen around here in the midwest. But, a lot of the times you can find Technics and some other decent DJ stuff in pawn shops. Even if a Technics table is a bit worn, they are easy to fix and the parts are easy to get ahold of.

If you have any more questions bout DJing equiptment, or recording equiptment, give me a shout...
