Yeah, I found on other Civic forums that they question someone's racing against a Mustang about 100% of the time if they claim they won. Honestly, if their car doesn't have more than 4500 under their hood everyone claims BS or says V6

Okay I was just going to let ur last comment end this little debate, cause honestly I don't care, but an incident about thirty minutes ago, just made me smile about this. I was driving around, and randomly hit a light (hmmmm) with a late 90's Cobra. These decently quick cars (13.9-14.2 is still laughable compared to a Camaro) are clad with the same 245's that plague the other mustangs, and sure enough I was ahead by a full car length from the launch, cause he just spun the poop outta his tires! Not to brag cause then he pulled on me like I wasn't moving, but his liscense plate said SN8KBTN, which i thought was cool! Peace out all!
what a tard

i can beat stock GT's, i can break even with a 99+ or get a car ahead if they suck. but i can put 10 cars on a civic easily. those guys are the dumbest people on earth, seriously seph what are you doing at the civic forums anyways? you spend time there youre gonna be dumbed into thinking you can swap in a h22 and expect to run 13's on the stock motor in your civic, when in reality you might get low 15's then whine about how you had torquesteer or your plug wires are going bad, and to make it worse you just spent 3 grand on an engine, custom mounts, tranny and halfshafts, plus a ecu and harness to make it all work. and youre still in 15's.

lol I was trying to find a Civic forum that had the civic driver that I whooped recently. I wanted to see if he said he had won the race against a -certain- mustang. Just so I could comment that I slowed down knowing I won and that's why he flew by me at the end.

I didn't find it, but this was amusing though

the flyby is the ricer trademark, it means "my vtec was just about to kick in, had we still be racing i wouldve flew right past you" which we all know is untrue. vtec doesnt add 200hp to make them pass a car in motion. vtec doesnt add hp at all, it just lenghtens the cam durations and timing to give it more rpm range and still have the best a/f trim. only retards think vtec will add hp. its initial design was to make the car better on mileage, by running a little leaner in the low-mid range, and still having drivable power if you were to wind out the engine. thus they were designed for commuters and mpg's in mind, not the 1/4 mile.

and seph even if you were to show them a movie of you slowing down then hitting it again and still whooping them, they would still think they won. its not even worth it bsing with these honda kids.

i usually fess up when i lose by awarding props to the other driver for having a better car/better driving skill. never have any a honda ive raced ever said "dam youre fast, nice car" its always "well if i had turbo" or "my cousins brothers sisters aunts son has a 1200hp supra that will kill you" or " my useless aftermarket 10" tach is off and my clutch is going out and my vtec controller broke and my Nos floormats were ripped off and my powered by honda seatbelt covers were cutting off circulation to my shifter arm".

I get the ricer flyby sometimes, and I hardly ever try to pull on anyone. I know my car is slower than stock w/ all the weight I've added to it. But I don't care in this car.

You guys should just pull a domestic flyby. Pass them while they're still trying to race.

just back from pickin some stuff up for work in my truck, apparently the s10 was trying to race me and never let me know so i gassed it caught up and passed him at about 100mph then i slowed back down when i got 4-5 cars infront of him. then he did the ricer flyby and started to weave in and out of traffic to get infront of me more. I caught him at the next light and just smiled and waived.

Im all for street racing sometimes, as long as its me in the car and its not in traffic, once i hit traffic i back off.

dang i hate ricerburners...its always fun to show them that the so called embarrassing simbling to the v8 when done right can blow the doors off 90 percent of those cars.

That does upset me a lot, I remember racing this other guy in an old corolla. Who knows if he modded it, but I beat him in my 98 Mustang. I let go of the gas because I won and he flies up past me like he's won. So I gun it again, match him, and pull ahead. I mean COME ON! I let go of the gas, brake, he thinks he won it because I slowed down randomly??

They think that when you race someone, it's going to be this race from point A to infinity. They just keep going, when you spank someone you stop. If you are losing, you acknowledge you lost and stop too, not just keep going thinking your Stock Engine boosted your *** ahead.

Hey at least some of those guys on that board have some damn good sense

It doesnt take much modification for a 'stang to smoke even a well-modded civic.. think about it, its a freakin muscle car built for speed vs an economy car built to get 38 mpg. I almost cried when that guy got run over by the semi... of course, the same thing almost happened to me!!!! ... stupid semi's. And yeah, they are quite cocky, and then if you race them on campus, they say "I didn't want to do that, it wasn't safe..." race them on the highway "I thought I saw a cop, my car is still faster".... so aggrivating
