Muscle Cars!!!...

Long live american muscle cars, in particular to stangs because I love them. But I love corvettes, chevys etc too! If you really think about it we're kinda like a family but no relations really at all. Im glad there are more people out there that DISPISE ricers and their gay 120hp civic hatchbacks. Sorry I was just bored and yea, just thought id post what I think!

Later guys!

I read off of this site that Corvettes are actually not considered muscle cars. I always figured they were but I guess not. This is the definition of a muscle car off this site is "A muscle car, by the strictest definition, is an intermediate sized, performance oriented model, powered by a large V8 engine, at an affordable price. Most of these models were based on "regular" production vehicles. These vehicles are generally not considered muscle cars, even when equipped with large V8s. If there was a high performance version available, it gets the credit, and not the vehicle that it was based on."

http://www.musclecarclub.com/musclec...finition.shtml

"Two seat sports cars such as the Chevrolet Corvette and the Ford Thunderbird are not considered muscle cars due to their high price and specialty nature."

a GM or Dodge (not so much the Dodge) is better in my books than a POS OVERSEAS anyday.... Pontiac, Chevy.... they're both ok in my books. Haven't heard much from Dodge since the Stealth. (at least in our price range). Viper doesn't count. Trans Ams are alright with me, except when they piss spank me. But that's to be expected. One day I'll beat one. Probably not in the 6, but oh well... it'll happen. Completely modded out GT will take one

Stangs aren't musclecars. They are ponycars. Regardless of engine size, or lack thereof.

2 seaters of any variety are not muscle cars.

Foreign cars are not musclecars.

If it has less than a V8 it ain't a muscle car.

If it's FWD it ain't a muscle car.

As stated above a muscle car is a midsized, 2 rows of seats, 2dr, minimally equipped domestic vehicle with a big V8, usually the biggest available.

A 70 Dodge Coronet 4 door with a 318 is not a musclecar. A 70 Dodge SuperBee (same body shell as a Coronet but a 2 dr) with a 440 is. A Lincoln Continetal with a 460 is not a musclecar. A Fairlane with a 390 is.

If it's got power seat, windows, locks heated mirrors, etc it ain't a musclecar.

Steve

a mustang is not a muscle car(at least the ones back in the day) they are pony cars, family sedans with power.

a chevelle is a musclecar.

a civic is an import, and no matter if it has 150hp or 600hp its still a import.

my car is NOT an import. it was made in Strange, Illinois. the engine(4g63) was created in japan by japanese, but shipped here to be put in my car. no part of my car is considered JDM in any way.

now a new cobra i would consider a muscle car of the new era, cause it has muscle car power, even though it does not have this huge engine to get that power.

a corvette in its time was considered a "sports car" a small, 2 seater with lots of power and lightness.

I consider the newer (mid-80's on) F-Bodies and Mustangs as "modern muscle cars". Yeah, they're not the same as the Chevelles, Novas, and GTO's of yesteryear, but they're the closest thing out there.
