speedtv's musclecar shootout

anybody else see this?

boss 429 beat out chevelle ss 454, hurst olds, amc amx, gto judge, and a challenger r/t for the top spot

rerun huh? i never seen it on before and i usually flip to speed pretty often, I might not be buyin a stang now; I found a old (kinda like the f100/ranger's) ranger for sale and im gonna go see how much the guy is asking and what kinda motor is in it I might just use the motor for the ranger i have atm now though.

cool good luck man, i love our ranger we have for a farm truck, cheap on gas, and still hual aload... 4x4 works great!!

its would have been more fair had the chevelle had a 4 spd and the optional 4.11 posi. a 454 with an auto was very rare so its kinda weird that they would use one for this test. but i like the out come, every one under estamates the power of those 429s.

No, that car was slow from the factory. In one case, the Boss 302 beat it. KarKraft spent more cash building it than they sold it for.

i just remeber is being a quick car. i don think it should have one but still if i pulled off a 13 sec ish run in "stock" form thats a fast car. my fav is still the chevelle

Yea, but a year ago when you had the '68 428CJ .2 of a second from being on it's heels, the Boss 429 doesn't seem that fast.

well the guy wants 6000ish for the truck, more then i have atm so I wont be getting it im guessing its not a ranger because i dont think they are as old as it looks, its like the 60's style flareside beds. and it has the "newer" ranger emblem
