Dark Entity

im thinkin about gettin a MX-6 around December (no im not gettin rid of the 6) and i know i want the V6 in it with a 5 speed. Problem is im having a real hard time finding one without a lot of miles. Tell me a lil bit about the mx-6 or link me to a place that would let me know without sugar coating it. I mainly want it as a good car in the snow with fwd that has some decent look to it and a 5 speed so i can get good at driving stick for when i get my snake. Altho i would prb put some rims on it and exhaust just cuz i have to drive something flashy.

WOW what am I saying I dont want no stinking import

Specifically looking for DE, and saw this thread and instead of posting a new thread about him using us, I used this one..

Plus it kinda makes you look stoopid for wanting an import

MUHAHAHAH

LOL

LOL that's great Ken, we've gotten pretty good at bringing back dead threads. I think I may go back to like page 1 and bring back a really old thread just for the heck of it.

Jeeps rule all. Untill you try to do a 4 wheel drive burnout and rip your driveshaft in half. Had a friend do that the other night. Not real pretty....his driveshaft literally twisted itself in half. I'll have to try and get a pic of it.

From the way he described it he had it in 4 high (i told him not to try this at any time whatsoever) stuck it in first and revved her up to around the red line and popped the clutch. Rear end started bouncing for a second and locked up. Engine had enough rpm's going it snapped the driveshaft in half. He was supposed to be going to a junkyard somewhere to try and find one that would work...

Hey now, don't make fun of us...I mean them. And it's not hicks if you're from MS, it's redneck. At least get it right. But no, he's not a redneck either, just loves jeeps and doesn't know how to treat them. Oh well.

Snapped driveshaft really doesn't seem likely in this situation.. Kinda surprised that's what let go.

99% of the time a couple of axles would break well before the DS.

Anyhow, what kind of jeep? Most jeeps have weak D35C's in the rear and weaker D30's up front.. Each with an open diff.

It's a 94 Wrangler Sahara edition 5 speed. I figured the aluminum transmission would have gone before the steel driveshaft but sure enough the drive shaft snapped
