I don't shoot anything, however my pal and I do go deer spotting on random nights..

You know, I found out the hard way that, if, off season, you're driving around in a truck with a spotlight, aimed towards deer, and a bow and arrow set in the bed of the truck... you can get a ticket for hunting off-season

As I look in the closet in my apt...I see...a 20 gauge, a 12 gauge, 30-06, assorted 22 target rifles, air target rifle..that's just what I see in the closet at first glance...Another 12 gauge is gone...roommate's out dove hunting, so yeh..I'd say I love shooting stuff

If I wasn't so lazy, I'd scan in some pics from breaking in a semi my friend bought over christmas, but yeh, I have a sportsman license and use it to the fullest extent. Deer, Dove, anything and everything...If it's open I hunt it. Also do alot of range shooting. A 30-06 will fit perfect in the back seat of a stang btw...lol. I guess I'm the typical Mississippian...

I shoot things, but aside from Wasp nests, possums and stray cats with my air gun I tend to just hit paper targets. I don't hunt animals, but I do fish.

I have an old Russian WWII bolt action rifle, a Mosin-Nagant, and a Wincester 12 ga. I am looking at a ball and cap revolver, I like them old horse pistols.

I owned 39 guns at one time. I was also a class III firearms dealer (Automatic Waepons).

I like shooting but where I live now it is a PITA to go shooting. The closest range is 500 deposit to join and 200 a year. the next closest range is over 20 miles away.

speaking of shooting things, anyone ever shoot a sealed 20 oz soda bottle with an air gun? (a pellet gun, basically..)

I have never seen soda explode as badly, the bottle actually stretched out of shape, and the small hole the pellet made had foam shooting out of it hard enough to knock it down and start spinning it...

Sorry but I agree with the law and I am a avid gun person, Lifetime member of the NRA and a concealed weapons permit holder.

Young kids really dont need to be given hand guns until the legal age. Kids drinking and male testosterone do not need to be together. I see by being on the forums I do the ability of young men to go off on a tangent over nothing and carry things to far. Younger people just have less self control. The same goes for drinking when I was 18 they changed the drinking age to 18 and within a few years changed it back because 18 to 21 age Drunk Driving deaths went up 130% in 3 years

I know there are some 17-19 olds that could handle the responsibilities of owning and be in possession of a handgun but applying rules to a few just wont work

i must be an exception than. i have been shooting years and i love to drink. i have never mixed the two, and i never will.

i am very avid about gun safety which is probably why i have never had an accident or even came colse to one while i was shooting.

but if an 18 year old kid can handel a long gun, why not a pistol? i understand that it's easy to conceal and all, but it is no more lethal than a long gun. in fact, i'd be more scarred of a pissed off kid having a hunting rifle than a pistol seeing as how it is much more lethal at longer distances.

edit... maybe passing a class and/or safety course may be the answer to 18 year olds owning pistols. if the instructor feels the kid is responsible enough, than let him buy one.

Because a young emotional kid can conceal it in a School, movie theater, Skate rink, Burger King or any other type of hang out and use it in a irrational behavior.

There has to be a limit and I am comfortable with it. I was also a certified hand gun safety instructor in Alabama

I've gotten bored and shot 12oz coke cans and stuff with .22 target rifle for the heck of it. Even better than that is a can of foam, the pressurized can, shoot it and it snows lol
