Splenda...

Anyone else notice all these 'New! Low sugar!' products coming out? from cereal to soda..

most of them are using splenda -
Biggest problem with that is.. I'm allergic to splenda.. if I consume even a bit of a product containing it, I break out into small pockmarks all over my arms/legs (looks like goosebumps, but they itch like crazy) and I get a bad headache, I know its splenda causing it..

What's wrong with asparteme damnit?

Sorry for the random odd post just wanted to get that off my chest, haha

Down with Splenda!
'Splenda is sweet, and so are you.' Bull! it tastes like artificial sweetener!

Well for people like me who have Diabetes Splenda is the greatest thing since Fire.

I am sorry you dont lke Splenda or have reactions but Splenda is made from Sugar!!! It taste like sugar and it can be used like sugar when cooking.

Nutrasweet on the other hands is actually made of 3 parts. 2 parts are poison Wood Alcohol and Ethyl Glycol (antifreeze) and we know what happens to animals that drink Antifreeze.

Saccarin Nutrasweet are really bad for you over the years and can build up in your body and cause severe medical problems which dont seem to be a problem with Splenda.

Splenda has allowed people with diabetes to eat Candy and baked foods we were not able to before because most other sugar substitutes taste like *** or you cant cook with it.

Splenda is a most excellent product

Asparteme has been known to cause cancer in lab rats.
I like splenda I am not diabetic but its better than all that other crap, IMO.
I think I will stick to regular sugar though, original will always be the best.

my dad lives by Splenda, again, a diabetic. He loved sugar when he was younger, and then got a hernia and had to have it operated on.... well, the doctor nicked his pancreas with something and he ended up going diabetic.... my dad got royally screwed over because the doctor then went out of business/practice and my dad couldn't sue anyone... so he got stuck with all these bills for it, and then because of that, he got sleep apnea, and had to buy a $5000 machine to regulate his breathing while he was sleeping... Shortened his life span a LOT because he went diabetic to the point he now needs to take medicine for it. And it's just really hard on a person's body sometimes. He absolutely loves Splenda because he can now have ''sugary'' foods again, and it's like he's not really suffering that much any more... almost forgets he has it. I can't taste the difference personally. Splenda is a blessing to many people, and it's too bad you can't have it, but it is made from sugar, and if you can eat sugar, I don't see how the Splenda is causing that... but yeah, millions swear by Splenda, so I don't think your reactions to it are going to stop them from using it.... they have to. And it really is a great product.

PS-Nutrasweet tastes like crap.. especially right from the package, as does non-dairy creamer and that one other crap thing
