Talking Your Favorite compliment about your car

So far my favorite one to date is,

I've started my car and I'm getting ready to leave for work

Mom: What's that noise with your car?
Me: What? What noise?
Mom: Did you do anything to the car?
Me: No, why?
Mom: Because it sounds all racey and fast.
Me: No, that's just what a Mustang sounds like.

This is one of the comments left on cardomain. I've also had tons of good comments from people in person and others in midwest stangs

"Awesome job, whipster! You have one of the coolest Mustangs I've ever seen. The combination of the grille delete, shaker, black wheels (especially with the polished lip) and black paint look really slick. Very very well done."

I have a few ...

1. I was driving under an overpass in Omaha, it was a nice long one, and I was going quite slow. I saw a large group of people nearing the other side of the overpass.. so I just hammered it. Those of you that heard my exhaust clip know how loud it is... anyway, that sound just BOOMED under there... and I shifted and it went WHAAAAAAA PAA on the shift, sounded freaking amazing. That's when I heard YEEEAAHHHHHH WHOOOOOOO!!! from the crowd That was one of the greatest feelings in the world

2. Night before #1, after a football game... I was walking back to my car, and I see this girl run up to my car and start hugging it, and I think she even kissed it... and then I was like, what on earth are you doing to my car? and she goes, oh my God, I LOOOVE this car, I would screw you to sit in this car, hahaha... another great moment.

3. ANY young kid that just can't stop looking at my car. I love that drooling look... also when pretty girls look at it, or flash me on the interstate . I also love this one. There's a girl that goes to my college, and her brother has my dad in class as a teacher. She found out from her friends I was the one that owned my car and that my dad tought at the school. She had her brother ask my dad for my phone number IN his class, while he was teaching. lol... this tells me she's one of those high quality girls that dates for the car, hahaha... but still, quite the compliment, and she went through a lot of work to try to ''hook up'' with my car.

The looks on little kids faces always amazes me, or when some older guys stand around my car when Im parked somewhere, then I walk over to it and they are like "Nice Stang dude!!" then they see the side pipes when I start it up and they go "HOLY ****!! ARE THOSE SIDE EXHAUST!?!" and I just look at em like its not a big deal and go "Uhh, yeah.." Then they're like "Damn dude, thats ****ing tight." then I say "Thanks." and drive off. I had this old truck driver ask me if I get alot of ***** driving my car. I just laughed.

Every thanksgiving they have this thing called the "turkey run" in Daytona Beach, A bunch of hot rodders go down there for car shows, races and such, it is kind of like bike week but for hot rodders, u see every kind of tricked out car over there. Anyway, at night everybody sits in front of the hotels drinking beers and the hotrods go down the streets doing burn outs and such. I was driving down that road towards my hotel after dinner and the people on the side of the road started signaling me to rev my engine and do a burnout, that was sweet, they considered my car as part of the bunch.

I don't think she has.. but it's been awhile since she's heard a V8. Her first car was a Charger, I forget which year but my uncle who had a vette said that thing was FAST.

i get stupid ones all the time.

getting tuneup parts for the eclipse, the checker asks "aah a gst, you got nos yet?"

sitting at light next to big lifted f350, passenger asks, "dude does that thing have a turbo?" so i rev it and let him hear it, "some eclipses were made with turbos" i tell him. then he says, "dam thats crazy, no wonder it was in fast and furious".

ive realized that everyone who i talk to on the streets has the possibility to bring up fast and the furious at one time or the other.

some guy in a vw next to me
"hey you have a aftermarket bov?"
"yeah greddy type-s"
"is that the one from fast and furious?"
"i really dont think they used just one brand of bov's for the whole movie"
"you mean theres different kinds?"
"umm yeah, theres a whole helluva lot of brands of them"

i was in one of the audio stores one day with my freind whos into sport-trucks, he was looking into getting a new system and i introduced him to my contact, this riced out 92ish blue integra pulls up and some girl comes storming in, im just wandering around the store when i see her, asian, kinda cute but not really do-able. comes up to me......
"is that youre eclipse out there?"
"why yes, yes it is"
"i have a battle-Z body kit for sale, you want it"
"umm what the hell is a battle-z kit, i know kits and i have never heard of it"
"its the one from fast and furious"
"aah you mean the blitz kit, dont you like how all the ricers get the names confused with little 'battle' and 'combat' names so they make themselves feel like their cars are more powerful than they are?"
"i guess, are you interested?"
"not really, im not a fan of kits, and when i do its not gonna be a kit every riced out eclipse has, and it sure in the hell isnt gonna have some crappy maaco paint. how much are you selling it for anyways, i might have a cousin interested, he has a GS, they do those sorts of things to their cars"
"1300 for the kit, fiberglass"
"hahaha, you serious? 1300 for a fiberglass kit where i can buy the urethane version of it off ebay for 400? umm no thanks."
"fine" and she storms out of there. wtf does she like drive around looking for perfectly good cars to try to sell body kits and turn them to rice?

one of my good ones were this old lady was walking by our house, i was in the garage and she comes up to me
"is that your car?"
" umm yeah why, you didnt catch me doing the burnouts in the alley did you?"
"no i just wanted to say its a beautiful car"
"ummm" i was speechless. this is the way pornos with cars usually start out, and she iwas in her mid 50's and i wasnt about to clean the cobwebs from her rafters.
"i like the rims you put on it, the curves in them really accentuate the lines of the car, it flows perfectly"
now had she been 20 years younger ida boned her on the spot, but respect your elders kicked in
"well thank you, i thought the same thing when i bought them. i guess great minda think alike"
"i was really into cars back in my day, and i think its great that its still going strong. well you take it easy, i have to go cook supper"
"thanks, nice talking to you too"
since then i have yet to see this lady again.

And it's compliments and experiences like that.. which makes me want to do stuff to my car. You don't meet people and get those compliments from just plain stock cars

hahaha, dude.... you gotsta take those chances when you get it... she's ''experienced'' hahaha, man, that's like so antipedifile, and yet, almost as bad. Which would you go for, a 13-15 year old girl, whom would be like 10 years younger, or a 50 year old that's 30 years older?... such questions, must be pondered carefully.

I've had people ask me what I had under the hood of the 89.. I just ask them if they want to find out, and give it a small rev, lol.. I've lost many a fight that way

I've had gas station attendants ask me to light 'em up when I leave..

my 02 is interesting.. whenever its clean and parked somewhere's, people always look at it when they walk past, I can be walking back to the car, and have people looking around it..
I once had someone start a conversation with me about the '05s while I was in my 02..

Seems like I've had a lot of people tell me that how I've done my car up was/is how they thought about doing their's. That's cool to me.

My absolute favorite was one day coming home from work, I decided to take the longer way, and at a redlight, a black chick next to me was motioning down w/ her hands. I thought she was wanting me to turn my music down, so I hit ATT. But she was smiling, so I rolled down my window.

Her - "Is that your car?"
Me- "yep, I paid for her."
Her- "Awesome. It looks awesome. I bet you take care of her."
Me- "yep. cars mean a lot more when you pay for them, haha"
Her- "yeah, haha. Yeah, they do. You got a system?"
Me- "yeah, here." I turned up the radio again
Her- "That hits hard as hell!"
Me- "thanks." <~~ Big *** smile
Her- "I love your car man. It looks real nice."
Me- "Thanks. Means a lot."

and the light changed and we went our seperate ways. That was a great feeling.

Ive gotten so many compliments. From both stangs

Best for my V6 Scenerio - me and newer style Z28 at a light. we race I got him beat by about two cars

Z28 Guy- Nice GT
Me- Uh its a V6
Z28 Guy- 2: what the hell do you have done
Me- to much
Z28 Guy-Damn dude good **** would have never thought it was a V6
Me- Thanks

I love those comments esp when I race V8s they just never expected it

For my V8

Random Guy- I think your car is hurt
Me- what you me?
Random Guy- That whining what is that
Me- its not broken trust me the whine is suppuse to be there
Random Guy- Oh 2: well then nice stang

I get alot of the older guys who reminize about the older days wit there muscle cars and non such.

I just gotta say I get alot of compliments from either car and it feels damn good to be driving and owning a mustang. I will never regret that fact woot

I think my favorite Black Car compliment came just this past weekend. I was in T-Town on Saturday morning and, carrying on in Tuscaloosa tradition, had already drank several beers. Waldo needed to go pick somebody up but his roomate had stolen the keys to his Mustang. I tossed him my keys and said let's go get him. After a few short spirited sprints we had picked up our buddy and were almost back to Waldo's. He said, "Damn, Mark. I really like this car." It wasn't much, but coming from a die-hard Mustang guy, it meant alot.

The best Grey Car compliments were the "It's just a 305?!?!" ones.
