Ruined a rental car!!!

Woohoo. I messed up a new Chevy Aveo with 18k miles on it. I think it might need a whole new engine!!

since you're gonna ask what happened, here it is:

I was in Augusta, GA yesterday for a job interview (I got the job btw) and I had to fly in to Atl. So they rented a car for me and I drove the 150mi to Augusta. On the return drive back to the airport, about 30mi into it, the battery light went on and power steering went out. I was like.. "oh well, guess the alternator and PS pump are on the same belt since it's still going pretty good." 10mi or so from the airport, radio dies, AC dies, the dashboard clock is dying LOL. The passenger airbag light comes on. I press the brakes cause I needed to and the car pretty much downshifts from OD 4th, to 2nd on the highway..... check engine light comes on Last 3mi I was just coasting to return it with no power steering, no electrical, and couldnt use brakes because it uses electricity for the lights and that is no bueno LOL. I get to the stop sign right in front of Enterprise and it just dies. Won't start, won't even make a noise.

I have to PUSH a rental car back onto the lot. How cool is that! (they saw me and helped me push it since there was no cosmetic damage they didnt care.) Bottom line -- New alternator, power steering belt, battery and maybe even power steering pump.

That my friends, is how you drive a rental car!

That is amazing! You, my friend, are a man to be revered. Congratulations on your accomplishment.

And I am completely serious here, no sarcasm whatsoever.

no, but I will be there for about 2-3 weeks here starting next week I believe. I'll keep y'all updated.

and no, I don't have to pay for it. wasn't my fault and the company was paying for the rental car anyway.

augusta medical supply. I'm going to be an outside salesman in the Texas region for them.

I doubt I'm going to be there long enough to get to know car people and since I'm leaving my car at home and getting a rental...
