Is there a way to lose the weight on the 03-04 cobra?

Since the weight is such a big problem, is there any parts or anything that could be removed?? And if you did lose the weight on the car, would it make it faster? WOULD IT BE A NOTICEABLE DIFFERENCE??

you can get rid of the spare tire but thats not that much...rear seat delete. battery relocate, moves it to the back to help handling.

Rear seat delete
hood blanket
swap out the IRS for a solid axel
spare tire
lighter rims (steeda ultralites for example)
all the sound deadening insulation
aftermarket suspension components (prolly lighter, not 100% sure though)
aftermarket brakes + rotors.

Thats about all I can think of right now.

if your serious about it remove the whole stereo system, take all the seats out, smaller fuel cell. , but if you not serious, and want it still as a daily driver. then i cant see how 390 hp isnt enough.

cobra is fast enough, it would take quite a bit to even notice much of a difference...

I have heard that for ever 100LBS, a tenth is taken off of your 1/4 mile time. Is this true?

yes

and in addition, every 100hp is a full second off your ET, so until you are in the 11s and below, about every 10hp is a thenth off as well

Sorta is more correct.

There comes a point where the extra weight removal nets less and less improvement.

The question best asked is how crazy to you want to get? Carbon fiber body panels, one lightweight racing bucket, a lighter battery, remove the AC, Radio, heater, lexan windows, headlight decals, etc.

Lots of ways to loose weight (how about the driver's weight?) but few worth it on a street car.
